Looks at table, sees that we're in 4th place, 2 points clear off 5th

How are we in danger to missing out on fourth? It looks like it's all going according to plan so far.

Unless you guys are factoring in the usual Arsenal April-May late season collapse.

I keep telling you guys that we're not going to finish behind Spurs.

I don't know.
What about that postponed sinus operation? πŸ™‚
Maybe he can be tempted if the offer is good enough.
This is surely a case for us to do whatever we can to make sure he signs.

At least it seems to indicate that Wenger actually recognises the need too, as it appears now to be true that we have been in contact with Cologne.

I am going to make my feelings on Podolski clear, I think he's nothing more than a pussy. Big fish in small pond mentality, he's has to be the main man to get the best out of him you have to cuddle him and keep tell him your the best to get the best out off him.

We don't need any more of his kind in our team anymore.

If thats true then it shows what a spineless and coward of a player he is. He's 26 and he has the oppotunity of CL football and another chance with a big club. He needs to think about his club career first because so far he's failed.

Looks fake as they come.

Podolski is a proven performer for Germany, and to the best of my knowledge, this has included times when he was in shit form at club level. He will get guaranteed games here at both LW and striker. If he doesn’t back himself to be able to keep the likes of Gervinho and Chamakh/Park out of the team then I too would question his bottle. I really do fail to see the risk for him. Oh, and he’s worth more than 10 mil and if that is actually what we are offering (speculation, but really, who would be surprised?) then this is yet more evidence that nothing has changed for Wenger, Gazidis and Co.

Don't do it to yourself!

I know.
Arsene, spending crazy money....... πŸ˜†

That Honigstein bloke seems like he doesn't know his arse from his elbow most of the time.

10) Lukas Podolski (FC Koln)
This rather goes against Nick Miller's desire to see Podolski at Arsenal, but the striker would be a sizeable risk for anyone willing to take a punt. Yes, he's incredible for Germany, but are Germany in the Premier League? No, no they are not. Following his last big move from FC Koln to Bayern Munich in 2006, Podolski scored only 15 goals in 71 Bundesliga matches. His first year back at Koln didn't go to plan either, with only two strikes in 27 games. Essentially, that's four years in a row where Podolski wasn't delivering the goods in domestic competition. The last two seasons have been a lot rosier, but would you really want to splurge Β£20million on a player who is ultimately a gamble? Go grab yourself a Yakubu for Β£1.5million, plus a truck-load of cream cakes.

This is what F365 have had to say, fair point?

Top 10 transfer targets to avoid

They've also got something on Cissokho, M'Vila, Kaka and Gourcruff. Which is basically everyone we've been linked with since last summer. πŸ˜†

πŸ˜† Crikey.
I don't care what they say about Kaka, he'd be welcome here.

As for Yakubu - Blackburn would be signing off on their own relegation if they sell him.
They'd want more than a few million and cream cakes to do that.

I'd happily take Yakubu (within a reasonable price range). Bit of a rag but he's always producing sound stats. Scored his 100th Premier League goal the other week, didn't he? Both him and Kalou would be decent squad players to have. You have a sense that they could chip in with a goal coming off the bench. Don't get that feeling from any of our current backup players.
