The nonsense he said about female footballers should have been the end of him. This corrupt airhead is going nowhere. Learn to love him.

septic bladder. he's not even worth the anger anymore.

Seconded.

But merely removing Blatter won't change the culture of FIFA. There needs to be a thorough stamp down on corruption.

Completely out of order this guy.
Too old, too bitter, too uninterested in improving this sport and far too conservative.

He embodies all that's wrong with this sport on international level.

Neil Warnock suggests black players should boycott the next round of internationals to make a stand. I think it's a great idea. It could expand beyond black players. It would need a leader though, someone other players would want to follow.

The big problem of course is if Nike, Reebok, Puma etc would be supportive or if they would threaten their under-contract players to appear for their national teams. Would players be willing to risk their endorsements to take a stand against Darth Blatter.

The witch hunt has already taken place after the bribery scandal with the WC 2018 hosting decision.

For an institution proud of their fight against racism, it's unacceptable having such a person at the helm.

This is all bullshit, It's only the English calling for him to go, this sounds like a witch hunt as payback for the world cup hosting fiasco.

Casual racism, sexism, bribery, homophobia. Just a witch hunt, yeah? 😆

It's spreading, give it a week.

It's already spread to france. Will be all over europe by the end of the weekend and from there THE WORLD!

Look at the statements from the other companies involved and spot the difference.

Next time you are in a negotiation and somebody racially abuses you, I hope you save a handshake for the end of the meeting mate. 😆

In my opinion Blatter would have to resign if he'd done something directly racist himself.

This stupid insinuation that racism isn't much of a problem or doesn't exist is more of a borderline situation. It's well out of order for the leader of a huge international organisation, but maybe it's a case of conscience. He should probably go, but he shouldn't be pushed.

Yeah watch what they do not what they say. Like Fifa is bothered, I'm sure Pepsi and Mastercard will be glad to have a piece of that global audience

Point was, that you seem to have missed (again), that it's not just a witch hunt by the british. The flagrant disregard for the severity of racial abuse on a football pitch, among professionals, has spread beyond our fair borders.

Blatter is an idiot. He won´t resign though no matter what. His position is too secure IMO. He, like Wenger, will go when he is good and ready.

I honestly don't know why people care so much what Sepp Blatter says or does. What difference does it make to you or I? Or Arsenal?

American soccer journlists are concerned about it, and on talkshows and podcasts have said he should resign. It's not just an English thing. What he said is indefensible.

Not sure, there's definitely resentment for the way FIFA handle themselves in the UK, and why shouldn't there be? They're an appalling organisation.

But racism was a hot topic before Blatter's comments, and he was responding directly to the Suarez/Terry cases so it's no surprise that the local media have picked up on it as quickly as they have done doesn't necessarily mean it's payback for the failed WC bid.

Of course, nothing's going to come of it but that's a reflection of how horribly mismanaged FIFA are more than anything.

All I see there is blah, blah, blah. What would your reaction be if somebody racially abused you, to your face, in the middle of an important occasion/situation? Exactly.
