I think the opening scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark would have made a better metaphor. AVB is Indiana, the monkey-shaped idol on the piedestal is Bale, the collapsing temple full of cobwebs and feces is Tottenham and the huge rolling stone he's running away from is Real Madrid.
And just when he thinks he's made it to safety that old, rednosed bastard comes along and robs him of the treasure anyway.
