Nasri's world class form at the back end of 2010 is increasingly looking like a flash in the pan. Throw in his cunty personality too, and I'm actually quite happy now that he didn't want to sign a new contract with us. £24 million was good business.

It was very good business.

He's lost that pace he had gained during his hot spell and has since reverted back to being a tubby lil ball hog who slows attacks down.

Not sure he'll ever be motivated to get back to that level. Why would he? Has it too cushy and city and there is no love to spur him on.

Tosser.

Too true.

Can't believe how poor a player he looked beside Silva. No off the ball movement, no vision. The 2 ex-Valencia boys has looked as good as anybody thought they would in this league.

Nasri fucked up when he left Arsenal. I give it 18 months until his first Hleb-like plea to come and get him.

i've never liked or rated nasri, and our very own jenko is probably right that in hindsight, nasri might regret the move to city b/c it made him complacent while his ego is fed off the achievements of his teammates. but i still think it's too early to write him off.

great bit of business selling him, though. i couldn't believe there were people at the time who wanted nasri to stay and fabregas to go. nasri is and was fungible.

The thing is he hasn't been replaced though has he? I wish Nasri wasn't such a cunt because even before his world class purple patch he was more than good enough to be playing plenty now and a damn sight better than fucking Arshavin and Rosicky.

But he is a cunt and I'm delighted his career is stagnating at City.

Exactly. We needed another wide man before we sold Nasri. After that we needed two. We only signed one player in the end, and he's not on the level Nasri played at last season. Selling that horrible piece of work for £25 million was an excellent piece of business, but doing it so late in the window and without getting a real replacement was terrible management.

Its not great business if it costs us CL football this season.

Definitely not. I'm not sure what I'm going to do to my poor hand if we don't make a signing in january.

Not going to happen, Klausie. We all know it.

Actually, we might get Wayne Bridge, if that helps? 🙂

Not overly enamoured with that deal if I'm honest. Although it will be seriously exciting to see him back in the red and white. Just not sure he;s going to actually do much on the pitch, but we'll see. Wenger seems very confident about it, but then he always does.

Gervinho going for a month is a worry for me. He may not be a world beater, but he's been bloody important for us this season, and we're going to miss him. We should be looking at bringing a really good player to compete with him and Theo. Important in the long-term, but also important right now.

Maybe Chamberlain will actually get a game?

Arshavin, Benayoun, Rosicky...take your pick.

I really hope I won´t have to see Arshavin play for us ever again. Turkish interest? I am sooo hoping that is true!

Nasri's movement is non existant, i used to think before his 2010 purple patch why he was in the team every week he hardly did anything other than the odd goal or pre-assist he seems to have gone back into that type of play. Very overated player imo

And yet he has 2 goals and 7 assists in the league in 15 games.

much of those came en masse at the beginning of the season eg. against Spurs. He's been crap since mancini decided he didn't trust him to start every game

That little lezzy has his own thread where he can be discussed.
City didn't threathen the Inciivbles so we can close this.
