Play the kids plus a back four that has Per and TV in the centre. I'd give Shava a run out with Park up front.
Give it everything but don't attach too much significance to the result.
It's one cup game in a long hard season.
We reduce our chances of winning by not playing our first team, so if we do get a positive result it's a bonus, if we don't just cancel and move on.

No way! thats where we've been going wrong for years we need to win a trophy, we can play kids in the CL.
Beating Man City will not only give us tremendous confidence, but it will encourage other teams to have a go at them.

I've lost interest again. Today was particularly gutting as we didn't raise our game til it was too late and we were reminded yet again just how inept our highly paid squadies are.

Priority is 4th place mate. At this point we should put all our resources in getting that 4th place position. Theres too much at stake for us to gamble on a cup competition like the CC.

The way i see it is ,we have minimal chance of qualifying, even with our first team. So lets just send out our talents and you never know what might happen in one game at home.

Nah as I said doesn't work like that and I think that this season should be proof enough to people that momentum confidence and a stable team are much more important than resting someone who's a bit tired.
Players always want to play especially when the team is winning and a cup final beckons, that'll perk them up.

Concentrating on winning the CC for the sake of winning something was a disaster for us last year.
I don't think we should repeat the mistake this year.
We cannot challenge on four fronts with the squad that we have so we need to sort out our priorities.
Right now we're in a serious danger of missing out on fourth, the league has to be the priority.

3/4th is all that matters. We're pretty much rebuilding the whole team and squad at the moment. We have a nice base to start from but we need CL so we can keep our best players and we remain an attractive proposition to the 1-2 quality additions we really need. And we need the finances the CL provides for that too.

We need to take this seriously. Momentum is important. I'm all for giving a few fringe players like Benayoun, Frimpog, Diaby and the OX a start.

But I really hope we keep our regular back 5. I'd rest Per, and go with Vermaelen-Koscielny at the back.

The CC sits outside the normal flow of games in my mind.
For me it should be used to give fringe players and young players experience.
By all means supplement the back four with Vermaelen and Kos (though I'd be a little reluctant this time seeing as Kos is worn down a little and TV took a knock) but don't see the outcome of this game as an indicator of anything.
Win or lose it should not be given too much time.
The momentum we need to keep, and the focus we need to keep, is on the league.

In hindsight I really believe that the importance attached to the CC last season was ridiculous, it was nonsense that some players never got over it.
We can't be making the same mistake this season.
