Jenkinson and Gibbs isn't a bad selection either, to be fair.

In the last decade the only young full-backs we've had with genuine first team promise have been Cole, Clichy and Gibbs. And because of their staggered ages we've basically only had one good young full back on our books at any one time.

Jenko and Gibbs and really be counted as young fullbacks? I mean like those from the academy. Didn't we use to have V.Bronck and Sylvinho with Cole waiting down the line and also Lauren Eboue with Hoyte Gilbert or whatever shit down the line. I mean alot of them didn't turn out great but at least we have a proper young kid who is a fullback there waiting. Nowadays we have none.

vbh did play cm in a handful of games, but he was primarily a wingback here.

His primary role was cm then he was a utility. Don't think he was ever a flying winger

I don't remember him as a wide left player all that much. More of a utility man that played a bit of left back, a bit less at centre midfielder, and hardly any wide left.

I think he came as a bit of a utility midfielder, but most of his games were at left back, mainly cos he got injured and we bought Edu and then Gilberto for centre mid, and Sylvinho's passport turned out to be fake, leaving us with only a 20 year old Ashley Cole.

We've got a fight on our hands to keep Rosicky 🙂
According to this rumour Olympiakos are chasing him.

It might be unfair of me but I can only see Rosicky as being useful if we are about 3-0 up in a game with 20 minutes to go.
At that stage he's effective in slowing play down and keeping the ball though he does also cause a few headaches in defence.

He should not start any game against teams that sit deep and defend in droves.
