There's always some team somewhere. It would help us shift him, whether that's this month or in the summer, if he had a good ACoN, and I actually reckon he will.
Daily Mail reckon we have been offered Cissokho for £8M. I said we don't need Abidal - that's because I think he's old, past it, and was never that great to start with and not suited to playing fullback for us imo, but if there's any truth at all to this (and there probably isn't) then I'd say Wenger has an important decision to make.
Santos is a good player, but he's no spring chicken, is unfit to start with, and is a flaky Brazilian to boot - he's not someone we should be hanging our hat on long-term. Then there's young Master Gibbs. Wenger believes he has the ability to be a top left back, as do I, but we all know how badly he's suffered on the injury front. Does he gamble on Gibbs getting past these injury problems and becoming the player he could be, or does he give up on him and bring in a really good young-ish fullback in Cissokho? If Lyon really do want to sell, and given our current problems, it might be too good an opportunity to turn down. Difficult one.
