I've listened to Arseblog's Arsecast, and recently started listening to Alan Davies' "The Tuesday Club", which probably the funniest one I've found

Anyone know of any other good or funny ones? Doesn't necessarily need to be Arsenal-centric....

The Guardian football podcast is usually decent, think it is released twice a week now.

In order of preference, I listen to
1) Tuesday Club: Arsenal-centric and downright hilarious
2) The Game: very analytical and does a good job of having a worthwhile 10 minute debate on an important issue or trend towards the end. This week they had a good discussion on the Rooney Rule.
3) Guardian Football Weekly: 2 quick round-ups of English, Spanish and a drop of Italian action. They fancy themselves masters of double-entendres and fast comebacks. Good for one laugh a week at least.

What do you all think of the arsecast podcast? I found it funny before but its quite mudane now. Not sure what I make of arseblog, his blog his fairly entertaining at times but sometimes I think he works for the Arsenal PR department.

Reckon he makes quite a bit out of it as well? Must do with all the advertising and I think he is trying to monopolise the Arsenal blogosphere as well! Fair play to him I guess.

I stopped listening to Arsecast about 2 years ago. Arseblog I read once in a while because every now and then he will write something so hiliarous that you will faint from laughter. Otherwise, no. Don't much care for independent football blogs. I go to the real blogs: The Mirror and The Sun.

I'm also subscribed to an American podcast called World Football Daily. It has potential to be the best show in the world, but has far too much fat that needs to be trimmed sharpish. They do 90 minutes a day, and bring in people like John Cross, Tim Vickery, Andy Brassell, football players and coaches and others regularly, but 60% of the show is just mindless chatter. If they did a tight 45 minute daily show, it would completely kill it.

i d/led one arsecast years ago and never again. awful stuff. arseblog itself is alright, though he does come across as bit of a tit.

the tuesday club is the only arsenal podcast you'll ever want or need. nothing else even comes close. davies, stone and dover ftw. tayo is pretty likable as well.

I remember when Davies did the it's up for grabs now podcast then left playback media so they got in a new team and a new podcast called footbalistically Arsenal, didn't really like it.

All I listen to on the podcast front is the tuesday club. "Throw them all into a Taiwanese buggery pit" still applies

He posted a year or 2 ago that he left his job to go full time at it. He does voice overs for ads over here so I'd say he splits between the 2.

Anyway arseblog is ok once you skip the first couple of paragraphs about whatever he's drank the night before. The arsecast is good apart from the skits.

Obviously Tuesday club is the daddy of football podcasts.
I really dislike the The Game podcast from the Times and I'm slowly getting sick of football weekly from the guardian too.
I like John Giles one usually, he offers an interesting if sometimes out dated perspective, cuts through alot of the bullshit though.
I like Arsenal fans forum from the official site too, just a phone in for gooners, Tom Watt who hosts it is good and theres usually something interesting from the journos on it.
Anyone listened to the one with Dermot O'Leary and his mates? I tried it but they were really annoying so I gave it up.
I listen to the daily 5live one too but I wouldn't recommend it.

Hah, you could say the same about the Tuesday Club. Given that it's an Arsenal only podcast, it's surprising how popular it's become.

I'm on Mugabe media lockdown so I have not listened to Football Weekly in a while but that's very good. Football Ramble has good reviews as well, it's by the same production team that came up with 'It's Up For Grabs Now' but I haven't listened to it myself.

Arsecast is average but he does invite some very good guests sometimes. Worth an occasional listen.

edit: I like Arsenal Fans' Forum too, Tom Watt hosts with a guest journo and listeners phone in to vent. It's surprisingly decent.

The difference is the mindless chatter on Tuesday Club is hilarious. On WFD it's just daft dialogue with the producer.

I listen to The Tuesday Club (obviously), The Sunday Supplement podcast, whcih is good depending on which journo's they have on-Martin Samuel, Patrick Barclay, matt Law etc are always worth a listen-, Guardian football weekly and the Football Ramble sometimes...that's pretty much it.

Really cant stand The Game podcast anymore. It's been shite ever since they got rid of Phil Jupitus.

Tuesday Club is the only Arsenal podcast I can listen to when we've lost. Like Football Weekly, but can't cope with it if we're struggling.

I do enjoy the Arsecast but with it going out on Friday, if you don't listen to on the day, it's redundant by the time you get to it.

Yesterday's Tuesday Club was a big mess. They were all talking each other, just generally bewildered and hurt by our recent performances. They're still very supportive of Wenger, but you can tell that they're losing a little bit of belief in him.

Tried Arsecast last week but there was nothing we hadn't already discussed ad nauseam in here and switched off after less than 10 minutes due to boredom.

Listened to the first episode in the gym today, quite liked it. The host has a good voice for radio. Went ahead and subscribed on iTunes.

I don't mind it if his guest is decent but arseblogger isn't nearly as funny as he thinks he is and that becomes really annoying after a while.

Will give RTCs podcast a try.

I was listening to Aresecast on Friday and thinking he really does not have enough material to be doing a twice weekly show. When he has Gunnerblog or the wonderful Amy on, he usually has a good discussion, but the rest of it is either repetitive or foolish. He should definitely go back to one show per week and control quality tightly. Right now, I subscribe to
-Arsecast
-Times: TheGame
-Football Ramble
-Football Weekly
-Footballistically Arsenal
-The Sound of Football
-The Tuesday Club

Can't say that any of them are performing very highly at this point. TheGame used to have great 3rd session debates, but not so much of late. I would listen to something that had Auclair, Lawrence and a good moderator, e.g., James Richardson

I had to give up on football weekly. Too many absolute cunts on it. Glendennig, Buckowski, any of the scousers, etc Can't stand James Richardson either, he's another unfunny fucker who's always trying to make jokes. Football Ramble isn't bad.
