Too early for what Capi? he played twice for Holland last week he looked knackered.

Eh? Guess ash young is shit too as he neither scored or gave an assist yesterday.

Go have a strong black coffee and sleep it off capi

he's very good. needs world class support tho.

Clearly he's not Captain.
He's well short of his best at the moment though.
I find it worrying, as for me it's possibly rooted in his concerns about the direction we've headed this summer, combined with the fact that he's struggling to find an effective way to play with our new look ever changing midfield.
I think he's the player most deeply affected by Cesc's departure.

I'm guessing that Wenger will have Arteta, Ramsey and song as his central midfield trio for the foreseeable future and that Gervinho will start ahead of Arshavin.
Give them consecutive games together and we'll see a better understanding develop, promoting a more fluid, cutting and more dangerous attack.
He'll could be back to scoring a goal a game within a few weeks if that line-up clicks and delivers.

This is the one player who had a pulse during our darkest period last spring. He has a goal already this season. Give it another three or four games before we become concerned. He's earned it.

This is the most pathetic thread I've ever seen. 😆 He's quite comfortably the best player at Arsenal Football Club.

Caligula, he's got 2 goals in 5 appearances this season.

There was a similar poor spell last season when he first came back, and I started a thread questioning if RvP and Arshavin were done at the top level. He eventually found his groove, he's just that type of player that needs to find a niche and he'll score non-stop. It's hard to do that in the current climate of upheaval

Capi is clearly on the wind-up. Can't believe so many of you seem to think he is serious.

Well heres a little wind up of my own.

Wenger has been shit for 5 years Capi, you'd be better served worrying about him.

Make your own thread.

VanPersie is not just bad now, he is woeful. Almost as poor as Torres.

No worries, he won't be here next season.

Giving him the captaincy was a mistake. Wenger hasn't picked a single good captain in his time at Arsenal.

He's very poor at the moment.

C'mon, Lagos. I was as critical as the next man about van Persie, but that run he had from January to June was remarkable. It's a pity that it was wasted on a bunch of losers. With a little bit of health, he is fine. The injuries have really stymied his progress. Depending on Walcott and Cockring for service can't help either

The beginning of this thread was just a piss take obviously, but his form has completed deserted him.

I was thinking in pre-season that he may need a different role in the team that we have now but I'm not sure exactly where he would fit if we changed it up a bit; not convinced that we have the midfielders for a flatter two striker system and even last year he showed signs of not having the dynamism to play point in a team less reliant on the pace setting of Cesc.

Remember the thread on Arsenal Mania when you lot were saying Chamakh was a better striker and that Van Persie isn't good enough?

Just saying.

Despite the goals last season I dont think it suits him playing up front on his own. But that aside, yesterday he looked dangerous every time he had the ball. Just zero service and zero support.

i agree that rvp looks very isolated up front. without nasri and cesc in the side (and wilshere), he has to do things on his own. he got away a few times yesterday and was unlucky not to score a goal.

but what can you do. arshavin, theo, gervinho, ramsey etc offers fuck all atm.
