Hello everyone!

I registered back in June but lost my password and username and never thought to reset it! I'm Irish (seems to be lots of Irish people people here) and have supported arsenal for the last 12 years.

I registered and posted briefly on AM just before they introduced the lobby system, I then stopped posting entirely due to being consigned to the cesspool of crap posting that is known as the lobby. I've been reading all of your posts for years, both here and on AM, so I feel as if I already know some of you (yes, I know that is very weird...)

Anyway, just posting to say hello 🙂

I realise that my username might cause some confusion! My username was gunningforglory (I'm not a creative man) and I made a grand total of about 5 posts before the lobby system was introduced.

Same thing happened to me! never bothered getting out of the lobby, too much work.

It was such a rigid system, it was almost impossible to demote a troublemaker therefore we had to be very careful who we promoted so that method also became unwieldy, therefore gridlock and paralysis ensued with it being almost impossible to get promoted/demoted.
Thats why many of us left and came to OMITT, here there is no such problem.

Far too much work, I instantly stopped posting and just went back to lurking! I actually found it to be quite demeaning, you must "prove yourself" before having the privilege of posting.

There was a time when the lobby was hilarious when it was about 97.876% full of trolls d!ck-riding their favourites to ridiculous lengths. Ade boys, Cescy lovers and the world famous DDL!
AnthonyG was banning some of them at a rate of about 5 a day.

Hi everybody,

I've been a fan of Arsenal since 2007 and have been visiting the Tolly for 2-3 years. I've always been impressed with the funny, interesting, high quality posts here. Just like Irish Gunner, I feel as I know many of you already!

So how did I become a fan? I didn't even watch football until the 2006 world cup.

Then in 2007-2008 I started to really watch the premier league and champions league. Arsenal were beautiful to watch. I don't think I've seen such wonderful football from any team in England since that season. If I could pin point the time when I really became a gooner, it was during that dreadful trilogy with Liverpool. When Theo made that run I was ecstatic! And then came the penalty. I felt like I had been punched in the stomach. But those feelings told me I was a fan and I have been gobbling up all things Arsenal since!
