And my other choices were Bristol, Manchester and Leeds. Didn't fancy Birmingham but they all seemed like great Cities/Unis/Places to be. Manchester's supposed to be the best for nightlife, should definitely have the most choice anyway.

Friends at Leeds and Bristol love where they are too, but like Asa said most people would be happy in any of these places. Friends in London have nearly all stayed at home if they're going to Uni, which sounds like its resulted in some (but not all) missing out on the 'Uni experience'.

I'm from London but the uni I'm at (Staffordshire University in Stoke) is charged at around £75 per week for my halls. Everywhere I'd need to go is also within walking distance, or we could hire a taxi for a night out which would cost £1 at most, mainly. People here are very cheery and friendly, and it's generally peaceful. When I went home for holidays I got more stress from 5 mins on the London buses than I did a whole week living here.

Only good thing about London is that I'm closer to dools

Don't think there is much of a uni experience to be had in london to be honest. It's probably enjoyable if you are from outside london but that's just because it is London. In terms of student provisions there isn't much going on.

Also, your average UL student is a bit of a prick. (Take it from me, I'm one)

Hahahaha! I was there too. 2nd smallest hall at Uni. They don't have bars anymore though do they?

When I was there they still had them and people did Campus 14.

Lol, that's amazing! I don't spend much time over in M, only friends with a couple of people there. And mate, everyone knows E Block is the one. 8)

Also yes, of course there are still all the hall bars. 😆 Campus 14s are 'officially banned' but still popular. Did one last saturday - pints and jagerbombs, spending £35, losing a jacket and throwing away my chances with this girl at the end by demanding she sing for me (apparently she was a grade 8 singer). Great Nottingham night.

Do you still have to eat dinner between 6 and 7pm? Too early man. By the time it's 12 or 1 am it's time for Dino's or Padrino's Pizza. :drool:

Sunday dinner (even worse between 5-6pm) is butterz.

So are there loads of hotties in the hallward library? That was the place for babe watching.

Yup, dinner is ridiculously early still, with sunday by far the worst day of the week. A late night Padrinos is always welcome, but there's a rumour Dinos gives you food poisoning.

And I haven't needed to spend much time in Hallward yet, hopefully that's still what it's like though!

I can see the London unis not offering a proper uni experience, but I'm too old for that shit anyway. I prefer to do my drunken stupor in Mayfair 😉 Also, I don't see how London students are pricks? I only know people from my course, but they are mainly nice people. Although I could be a prick, and thus not recognize others as pricks.
