It's good of Ant to do it, don't know why he bothers though. Especially now that posts and sessions are randomly being dropped from one shard or another. A-M seems moribund at present.

Love it mate, couldn't be happier here. Don't know the City too well yet though, very rarely go into town outside of nights out. Apart from the Clubs/Bars/Fast Food places I probably know nowhere outside the campus. 😆 I guess that'll be different when I'm closer to town next year though, got a house off Derby Rd near the Savoy.

Also, we had the Varsity ice hockey tonight and you'll be happy to hear your boys beat Uni 4-2. Crushing defeat.

How old are you Gael? Derby Road is such a student area. I was in Beeston. A quiet area.

And yeah, Derby Rd/Lenton is where most of the students live, some of the streets are literally all student houses. Didn't fancy living in Beeston as it's so far away from everything but the rent is a lot cheaper. Were you visiting friends?

On the weekend yes.

But I went to Notts uni. Lived in Raleigh park for a while.

By my third year I had been there done that so Beeston was fine.

Is it true that Notts is the most dangerous night out in the UK? A friend of mine loves to mention it every time the subject of Nottingham comes up.

Glad you're enjoying it Gael. Being a poly I obviously didn't get to know Beeston too well, but you really should get to know the city more.

I'd move back just for the music venues.

I never had any bother, but a lot of my mates did at various points.

They say that Ocean is one of the most violent clubs in the country on a saturday night, though considering what it used to be like on student nights, that's hard to believe.

^ I only go Ocean on Friday's student nights. It stinks and has a very sticky floor but seems safe enough. Local's nights could easily be a different story though.

Meant to have its rough areas but I haven't seen anything yet. Probably the same as any other City, just be careful where you walk.
