Per must play when fit.
we are facing Coventry. Sure we can handle without him
Two bob cup barely registers as a friendly for me, I mean in real games. 😆
😆
Agree, then.

He'll probably say it was intentional and well rehearsed, looks slick, not easy for a big man to do.
Great graphic of Mertesacker's interceptions via arseblog ... it was really notable how early he snuffed out danger. Had a great match.
Imagine how many interceptions he'd make if he was built like Koscielny!
😆 I imagine his anticipation is that well developed precisely because he has the manoeuverability of an articulated bus.
Either way, unlike his performances in a couple of other matches this season which weren't so assured, he made a pretty good case to remain a starter.
I'm a bit disappointed he hasn't scored more goals (or even 1) from set pieces.
He's shit- Sell him.
Easily our best CB, needs to regularly start from now on.

Per + 1
That must be obvious to even Wenger by now. You don't chop and change the defense on a 'whim' or to adapt to the opposition. He is evidently the best CB we've got despite his lack of pace. He should be starting with Vermaelen, and only, ONLY if he needs a rest should he be out of the side.
Per & TV is easily our best partnership..
Per and koscielny, by long..

Cosigned. Get Yanga in on a free and we'll be set.
RCB: Mertesacker, Mbiwa LCB: Koscielny, Vermaelen
For the last time, fuck Vermaelen as captain.

That's the key point. Per has been the constant in central defence, taking him out today was wrong.
He organizes, he has a calming presence, he makes tackles on passes before they become dangerous plays...He's clumsy, so what....He's slow, so what...He compensates with his vision....We missed him today, as a defender, as a leader on the pitch...
