I for one am glad we have finally done away with this fascist regime of having to watch players to be able to evaluate how good they are. Park is the best player in the world!

Remember that when he or Chamakh is leading our line for half the season.

Rex, have you seen this bloke play?

I haven't seen him play and I'd bet no one else has either.
Mistrust and derision of anything Wenger says or does is now my default state as he has lost all credibility.

I wasn't serious. Were you?

Lille couldn't find him. Arsenal nabbed him. Possible headline: Raiders of the lost Park.

The best Park-pun I've read all day (courtesy of Eastlower's twitter).

Monaco Chairman says we only moved this morning, so it may be we rushed into this signing for a reason. Arseblog thinks it is because Joel Campbell will not be getting a work permit.

We need to come up with a little ditty rhyming "he's gonna score" and "eat your labrador".

:gah:

I was actually excited about seeing Campbell playing for us this season at some stage.

Because you buy players to fit your formation and system, not buy players and cram them all into whatever formation that fits.

RVP is a special case though. His time with us shows that he doesn´t really play more than half of every season. When both RVP and Top Class Striker are available, you make room for them. When RVP is out, you go with Top Class Striker.

Don't really disagree with that rex but when we have areas where we need to improve the first team its low on the list it where to allocate our money.

About him or Chamakh leading our line for half the season? Yes. Makes me sad though.

Lille are just gonna have to deal with it. That's park life

We are allegedly are paying £10m for him which is more than we allegedly bid for Cahill.

10m for this guy means 10m less to spend on top class players. Makes sense...

We're not paying ten million when Lille were going to pay 2.5m

No idea.
Just parroting the figure being bandied around.
We are hi-jacking an almost done deal, might have to be aggressive in our bid.

I'd rather instead of singing racist songs at our own players we made up a song about how our players wont smash the shit out of his car.

According to the beeb we're paying £3m

😆 Don't underestimate how aggressively Wenger will move to hi-jack a 2.5M deal for 3m.

Yeah, but that doesn't rhyme.

It's a park knock life for us.

Can we get Kia to rhyme with something?

Or United cunts, what rhymes with that.

Hey Kami, is Park a (I'd better not say "christian" lest I cause offense) first name in Korea? as it's very common.

I have it!

You've done too much, Park Chu Young...

Go take a look at Lille's forums. The fans are absolutely furious they missed out on him 😆

This is what a Monaco fan said about him courtesy of CMT

Hi,

I dunno why, I can't post in your forum. I'm a Monaco french fan.
Park played for us for a while. He is one of the most talented player of this 5 last years, he does not score a lot, but it's very hard for the defender to take him because he is fast and very intelligent in his move. This last 7 years, Monaco team was ****, and no one could deliver him good passes to score, but I'm sure in Arsenal he could be one of the most interesting player. He always score against Marseille, so it's pretty good for you in Champion's League
Anyway, him and Eysseric are the two most talented player after the 2004 epopee CL.
2,6M for this player is just crazy. And when Arsène pick player from France and precisly in Monaco it's always good (remember Henry). If you could post this in the forum, could be great

Heard he's just what you need against teams who Park the bus

Can believe we've tied the deal up so quickly. Arsene certainly didn't need to chu this one over.

Tim wrote:

Referring to the Monaco team that beat Madrid in CL.

Pretty pleased with this signing. Now please go get M'Vila, Cahill and a playmaker/LB.

3-5m is a bloody steal

This video shows alot more of his overall qualities. I'm optimistic about this signing for sure.

Btw all these puns are TERRIBLE 😆

Wenger said he wants to buy 3 players so that means 2 to go

that vid naz linked only goes to show how good he is at linking up plays and providing passes. top class vision.

i am optimistic about him.

If we are looking for a striker who doesn´t actually score much I think we should just go with Chamakh.

van persie's good as off if we don't bring in 1-3 star players in the next couple of days. this is wenger's reality, but i don't think he realises it. just like it probably took him until august to realise that fabregas and nasri were both off.

he's surrounded by yes men, so he probably finds it hard to understand why no one else seems to believe in his project like he does.

Wenger refuses to understand that though. Let's be frank, he refused to bring in players when his love-children of Vieira, Ljungberg and Henry were saying the same thing. Wenger appears to have build up our club only to tear it back down again.

I actually believe in the concept of the project, just not it's methodology.

£3 million rising to £5 million, subject to performances, according to BBC.

What is it that people have a problem with here exactly? Our two biggest problems is that we have too little creativity in the side and that none of the backup strikers are currently good enough for Arsenal. In Park we get a player who's both creative and a better striker than those we have for squad depth. And he's hardly eating away from our transfer funds that should indeed be used to strengthen the midfield and the wide posisions with a marquee signing or two. People who think that players like Benzema, Di Natale (as if!!) and Forlan would come here and sit on the bench need to wake up and smell the coffee.

I wonder how much of this signing is footballistic, and how much is a continuation of our interest in the Asian market.

I have absolutely no idea what he's about, and I don't like judging players based on youtube clips. So not going to comment on him, but as always, I'm skeptical about this rabbit out of hat signing.

Hopefully, he can be our Park Ji Sung, Chuchurito, and Ashley Young, all rolled in one!
