I'm kind of intrigued by this guy. Have vague recollections of him looking quite sparky and intelligent at the world cup (or at least someone with his haircut).

Who knows, could be a masterstroke.

Still need to do something about the lack of creativity. Get this guy, Shaquiri and Cahill, and I'll be reasonably happy.

van persie's good as off if we don't bring in 1-3 star players in the next couple of days. this is wenger's reality, but i don't think he realises it. just like it probably took him until august to realise that fabregas and nasri were both off.

he's surrounded by yes men, so he probably finds it hard to understand why no one else seems to believe in his project like he does.

For me, we shouldn´t spend a single pound on players that won´t go straight into our first XI, but that´s just me I guess.

That's just stupid.

Really? With 60m+ in the bank it is stupid to strenghten the squad from the top? Are you implying it is impossible to find players better than Kos, Song, Gibbs, Walcott and Gervinho? If so I guess it isn´t me who is stupid...

Wow, surprised! Didn't think we'd sign a centre forward. Stuff I've heard sounds fairly good, but obviously cant really judge until I've seen him.

that could be any korean or japanese player 🙂

Rex, have you seen this bloke play?

What is so difficult to understand that if you have 2 world class players, in this case strikers, you tweak your formation to make room for both of them? It really isn´t rocket science.

Because you buy players to fit your formation and system, not buy players and cram them all into whatever formation that fits.

no, they pay more to the club and player here we simply matched lille's offer and the upgrade in status won out. so if a player and another club wants to do that exact same thing to us then it's our own fault for letting it come to that.

Isn´t that pretty much what happened with Ricky Alvarez? We had a fee agreed, Inter came in and he chose them over us?

RVP is a special case though. His time with us shows that he doesn´t really play more than half of every season. When both RVP and Top Class Striker are available, you make room for them. When RVP is out, you go with Top Class Striker.

I suppose he could be this season's Hernandez.

Hits the ground running, scoring crucial goals once unleashed from the bench.

Just getting the very unsettling feeling that he might be the penultimate signing of this summer.

Indeed Kami, the whole situation is characteristic of a dying dictatorship.
Everyone knows that it's ending but because power has been so concentrated for so long nobody dares to tap him on the shoulder to tell him it's time.
Total paralysis of a moribund regime.

Really? I think he'd be a fresh breath of air.

... wait, which pun am I suppose to steal here? otf, help me out!

Do you have to have seen this guy play to come to the conclusion he is nowhere near top class? I´d say no. That he is NOT top class and won´t strenghten our first XI is what I have a problem with. Not the player himself.

It seems as if some are forgetting that we have let 3 starters go from last season´s team, and that team was not good enough. At best Gervinho and Nasri may equal out, but that means we are still worse off in at least 2 positions. Why is it too much to ask that the manager actually buys players for the first XI?

Yes. But that's beside the point. Park is a very good player, which is what we need as backup for Robin.

Doesn't mata. Theres always room for a mint based pun

Even if he is our Hernandez, don´t forget that at the start of last season Hernandez had both Rooney and Berbatov ahead of him. The Berbatov who was last year´s scoring champion. We have Chamakh...

I for one am glad we have finally done away with this fascist regime of having to watch players to be able to evaluate how good they are. Park is the best player in the world!
