Can't decide which of the two I'd rather have. M'Vila is more what I think we need, but Sahin's rated by so many of you that are normally bang on with players.

Both would be great! But also a bit greedy. 🙂

Wenger says Ox is a central mid as well. We are definitely only signing 1 central midfielder.

We won't be able to get Sahin on a permanent deal. M'Vila deal makes so much more sense. Chased him for ages, selling our only other defensive midfielder, no one else is in for him, the player himself has declared his interest, his price tag is lower than ever.

Clearly not happening.

Assuming song goes we still have 7 CMs. I can only see us signing 1 at most, or we might even reinvest the money elsewhere in the squad.

Coquelin and Ox - still kids and should be no more than squad options.
Ramsey - still question marks over this guy, definitely should not start as a first teamer
You missed Rosicky, but he'll be back up to Cazorla.

Only Arteta and Cazorla are suitable first choice central midfielders. We still lack some defensive nous, and someone like M'Vila will bring that to the table. Maybe Sahin would too.

Considering this is wenger, he probably consider coq, ox and wilshere as first teamers, despite their issues. I want 1 more midfielder too.

Wilshere and AOC deserve to have little faith put in them to deliver but we still need a more powerful midfielder in there.

the fact that wenger says we're interested in sahin, definitely makes me think we'll sign him. which i think is a very smart move. let song leave. arteta-sahin-cazorla would be an outstanding midfield trio. if we need more physical presence, let diaby do his thing and chop down players...

You know it sort of went downhill there. He bossed that match, we were the better team, then he knocked terry out. Never looked himself for the rest of that match and we lost. Then came recurring injuries and there we go. Big shame, only time I thought he'd be a real star.

Apparently the Rennes manager said after their game today M'Vila is off this week.

Still don't think we will sign him. We already got Sahin, a little too much central mids. The last time I counted, we have 9 central mids for 3 spots. If we add him it would be 10.

I have no idea why people are saying things like "Oh we've already got Sahin, so we don't need M'vila", they are 2 different players, and with Nuri our midfield is lacking severely in an experienced player who can reliably win the ball back.

In any case, I've grown cold on Yann. He's another young prospect who might very well up and leave when he comes good. I think any signing we make has to be viewed in the short term, or at least a solid EPL player who probably isn't attracted by Barca/Madrid. I think we may need more industry and physicality from our defensive signing as well. I'm not sure M'vila is quite strong enough to bully opposition midfielders. I don't think he is.
