I actually think we don't need this guy anymore. I believe in Song Frimpong and Coquelin.
Lets splash it on a mega playmaker.
M'Vila on Canal+: 'Inter, #AFC, Real r great clubs but if a coach calls and tells u he wants u to play, and hes French, that changes things'
Wenger's going to sign him for Real Madrid next season then...
He's going to Chelsea when Laurent Blanc gets that gig...
i think he meant the french national team coach (blanc) asking him to play for france, but its been interpreted as wenger. Would be great if we signed him, there is no way we can discipline song to sit back now that he thinks he is xavi.
Yes there is. Song easily screens in the bigger games when he is, presumably, told to.

Yes only in the big games he screens but what about the smaller teams we end up leaving the cb's vulnerable in one on ones.
Well, you said that there is "no way we can discipline Song to sit back now" but obviously it is a rather simple matter; if the boss tells him to, he does it.

There is a difference between screening the defence in big games, and having the discipline to solely protect the back four (which mvillas job would be).
We don't need that and certainly if M'vila came here, it isn't what he would be asked to do.
And screening the back four is sitting in and protecting it...
I'd be happy to play both M'Vila and Song. I think people are being a little too conservative in the appraisal of his offensive game. He's not a scorer, but he can also do the Arteta job in our midfield. If we are going to expect Sagna and Dos Santos to get up in attack, then I'd be happy for a 4 2 2 2 with Song/M'Vila playing the role usually occupied by Leiva/Ramires in the national team.
I don't see how M'Vila would be an upgrade on Arteta in any way.
The thing that strikes me about mvila is that like arteta, he looks like a clever player who thinks things through, doesn't over complicate things and who is disciplined. We need more of them types and less irratic players
We just need to provide a solid platform for chambo wilshere and rvp to do their thaaang
That's really it, Mr. Carter. The two shielding roles can be given to Song, Arteta and/or M'Vila The four attacking roles can be given to RVP, Wilshere, Chambo, Walcott, Podolski, Gervinho
Hard to believe he's only 21. He does indeed play like someone much more mature.
We have so many midfielders though. Do any of you think Wenger sees a place for him?
I think wenger is very keen on him. He'd be a first teamer here.

We don't have anyone like him i.e. someone who can effectively screen the back four because despite what anyone says about Song he just isn't good enough at doing that. He has a lot of other qualities but defensive discipline and positioning is most certainly not one of them.
Song has his on and off days for me.
M'Vila is definitely more disciplined, and I'd be for the signing. We should always look to improve when the chance arises. Would kill Frimpong. 🙁
Can he waltz between two defenders on the left touchline and send in a teasing cross for VanPersie to head home?
