After a long dull summer we're just days away from kick off!

Sat Aug 11th
Blackburn vs Wolverhampton
Fulham vs Aston Villa
Liverpool vs Sunderland
QPR vs Bolton
Tottenham vs Everton (cancelled)
Wigan vs Norwich
Newcastle vs Arsenal

Sun Aug 14th
Stoke vs Chelsea
West Brom vs Man Utd

You would have to think that one of Fulham or QPR will get called. Don't see a reason why any of them are getting postponed really.

Tottenham-Everton has already been called off, Rick.

I think that will be the only game. I think the rest in London will go ahead, assuming there is no more major trouble before the weekend.

Damn. Because they're expecting more trouble or still trying to recover from what's happened there?

Not sure mate, just heard it confirmed on the radio about an hour ago. i assume it's the police that have made the decision.

I think they're worried that committing the numbers needed for a football match leaves them unable to flexibly respond to possible rioting.

The rest of the games are confirmed to be on so it's just the Spuds game that's been cancelled.

i imagine in the old terraced days that this would have been the perfect weekend to clean up the streets and get these wannabe kids off the street with a good kicking.

I think Tottenham are just worried that 90% of their scummy fan base will be on the lam or banged up after this week's antics.

😆

The footy's back and we're gonna be sorry-
Hey now hey now the footy's back!

I'm getting ridiculously excited. Will probably wake up to watch whatever's on at 7:00 (3:00 PM kickoff) as well. None of the fixtures seem that amusing to be honest, but crap football is better than no football.

I hope this is going to be the best season in ages, the soap opera summer will be just the entre for a series of hilarious gaffs and fuck ups culminating in Wengers removal.

I haven´t been less up for a season than this one.

Come on Rex, it's going to have everything, farce slapstick nefariousness conspiracy Eboue pathos tragedy and hopefully sex and murder.
Then ultimately- redemption.

Eboue hasn´t even been given a number for the season. Another reason to be sad.

It's time lads.

Expectations for us are rock bottom, our best player is leaving us for Barcelona and Wenger has been backed into a corner.

Looking like another 2007-2008 with hopefully a happier ending.

No pressure on the lads whatsoever for the rest of the season as everyone has written us off as bottling failures who will finish 5th at best

Kieron Dyer just fractured his metatarsal 😆 hate to laugh at it, but his injury record is comical
