I think that's good for the balance of the team, no? Walcott/Gervinho can play off the shoulder, near the striker, while Oxdale plays in between midfield and attack. That way no one is isolated.
It makes us a bit predictable.
Put it this way: Like Walcott, Ljungberg might not have been much use creatively but that didn't mean Pires wouldn't occasionally burst in behind in anticipation of being put in. Needs to vary it.
