Chamberpuss is extremely naive in his defending, but he does look good on the ball. I also don´t think he can have the impact you are talking about HERE this season. We already have too many kids running around out there who don´t really know what they are doing. At a club with a settled squad maybe, but not here.

He's not a defender so for me that's not an issue.
Tracking back and regaining possession is something that with game time he will learn.
As for him being just another one of our "kids" - I don't think so.
I reckon the only reason Wenger didn't include him on the bench against Spurs is because he doesn't want to kill Theo.

Think what you want. Had we bought a player of Young´s quality instead, he would have been a starter. Losing Nasri and Cesc meant we needed a starter more than a promising kid.

As for the either or scenario that you're speaking of, for me the issue is that we should have bought a player of "Young" quality instead of getting Benayoun on loan.

Apparently a lot of time and effort was put into the signing of Chamberpuss. That time and effort should have been directed at adressing the short term needs of the team first IMO.

Of course we should have been able to sign both Oxpot and another quality player. Focusing on Chamberpuss first was just wrong though.

Oh and Y va, no disrespect meant at all with the "think what you want" comment.

ive no doubt chamberlain can have an immediate impact - everytime ive seen him play things happen, and the players seem to want to get the ball to him as soon as they can. his end product is so impressive, just get him in and around the box and he'll make it happen

i'd like to see us line up like this

Where Chamberlain is encouraged to get forward with Song and Jenkinson (as we're stuck with him) sitting deeper.

On the left, Arteta should stay tucked in with Santos looking to overlap and burst forward when he can

Skill on that 3rd goal was good. I'm sold. Apologies to Wenger. I underrated this purchase at first. With the right guidance he could be a Rooney level talent. However, for that to happen there is still a lot of work ahead for him, the manager and his mentor Chamakh.

The skill was great but it was a pathetic mistake from the goalkeeper. It's hard to argue that Chamberlain did the wrong thing since he scored but 99 times out of 100 it won't be a goal. He should have put it into the box instead where his unmarked teammate would have had a free shot on goal from five yards out. He'll learn though. I love how much natural ability the kid has. I'm sure we'll see him more regularly from january and onwards when he's adapted better physically and tactically.

Not a bad shout, Dules. Alex is a bit more athletic and seems like a central player in the making whereas Sanchez has practically developed into a striker but there are clear similarities between the two.
