Chelsea went toe to toe with any club in Europe spending wise. They bought defenders but they spent bucks.

Not jumping on the bandwagon but I have been watching the Premiership since about 1993 and this season is prob the best ever in terms of pure drama.

Today will be talked about in 50 years time any beyond.

Our bad patch has been terrible but is this the start of united's, first losing at the hands of barcelona emphatically in the cl final, then being kicked out the cl by basel in the group stage, then losing 6-1 to city, then losing the title to city and on top of that trophy less for the season. And soon fungus to retire, cant wait.

I honestly think PL title not too far away from us if we strengthen properly this summer. Hard to see Wenger doing the right job though.

Yeah didnt man city finish 3rd last season before spending 100 million to win the title, if we do that then sure we can. And i hope mancini sells that little cunt nasri. He is talking like he made huge a difference to their season. If he wasnt there they still would have won it.

I guess the point is that City's spending has been concentrated in a shorter period.
They were starting from a much lower base.
That team was assembled in three years?

There's also the consideration that City can afford to do things like letting a £25 million striker out on loan for two seasons running.

It's alot closer than you may think, but ManU had three products in their team compared to City's one and that tips the scales.
