In a one-off game, you give Bayern too much credit against the vanquishers of Barcelona.
I'd put our chances of playing Europa football at closer to 50% x 40% = 20%

If Europa's where we end up it'll be just rewards for the refusal of our management to address the squad's glaring needs both last summer and last January.

Wenger is relying on van Persie to drag us over the line - so am I, but I'm also relying on Chez, Sagna, Kos, Vermaelen, Gibbs/ Santos and Song to defend strong enough to make it that Robin doesn't have to score a hat-trick per game to save us.
We need that group of players plus Rosicky to perform out of their skins for the next couple of games and we'll be fine.

We're not relying on favours from other teams, it's completely down to us.

I'd put our chances of finishing 3rd more than 50% lads. All we have to do is beat Norwich and West Brom and even if we mess up Newcastle have City and Everton to play and the last time Spurs had the chance to finish ahead of us they literally shit themselves.

Football isn't played on paper but what's the point of hoping to beat Barcelona, Real Madrid etc. if we can't beat Norwich and West Brom when we have to?

We'll be fine. I don't think we'll need 6 points but we'll get them anyway.

Let's say RVP leaves his shooting boots at home. Let's look at how many goals our other front 4 players have for the season:

Gervinho - 4
Oxlade - 2
Ramsey - 2
Benayoun - 2
Rosicky - 1

Even if RVP leaves his shooting boots at home, he can bundle one in. He didn't have his shooting boots on against Stoke and he managed to score. Vermaelen will get his head on one.

There's no need to panic. We are a better team than Norwich and West Brom - we couldn't have hoped for an easier set of games to finish. If we can't finish the job off from here, we don't deserve to play in the CL. But I don't see the point of worrying about it and thinking of the worse scenarios - just get behind the lads and see what happens.

Claudius mate, thought you'd be happy with this situation. Wasn't long ago you were adamant that Spurs were away over the hill and Chelsea were 100% gonna finish top 4. 😉

Anyway, I'm with Armor. We're strong favourites still, 1 point lead, slight GD advantage and the easiest 2 games of the teams going for 3rd/4th. Seems a bit ridiculous to panic at this stage.

What aggrevates me most is how we've ended up in this situation. The mismanagement of summer transfer dealings and then squad management has lead to all this worry.

Injuries are crippling us, as they do most seasons. It has to change.

We threw away 7 games this season, unbelievable really. We wouldn't have challenged for the title because City and United have been in exceptional form but we'd be miles ahead of the rest.

I know one spurs fan who is particularly irritating. I really think i'd bite if he said anything were we to finish below them. I've already planned out what i'll return his way should he bring his usual school playground attitude to the table.

Don't wanna resort to it but i just know the words "shut up you bald 27 year old virgin" will fly out my mouth.

I agree Patters, if we do things right we'll only need 2 more goals.

If we can't beat Norwich & West Brom it's probably just as well we don't go through.

Chelsea lost to QPR, WBA, Liverpool (midtable club) but they beat Barcelona.

League form and European form aren't really connected.
