Well, it'd be a disaster if Chelsea actually won it - couldn't stand that.

Much of a muchness for me between whether they or Spurs qualify.

I think spurs will fade back next year anyways. They've too much to do this summer plus their "stars" are growing discontented

Yep, they're on a long downswing now. Even if they spend like mad in the summer it'll be hard to get back to the halcyon days of December 2011.

Although it would be a vindication of what many of us warned would happen if we were still stuck with Wenger and the club continued to demonstrate a disgusting lack of ambition, I agree.

The only thing it would vindicate is the widely held belief that you can buy any trophy in football. You can twist it as much as you like, but it is what it is.

Hope Spurs dont qualify. That team will be dismantled if they dont and they wont be able to afford good replacements.

Aye. Bale's basically said he'll be off. Twitchy says he can't guarantee that Modric will stay.

Whereas Chelsea will be able to attract top players anyway through their wage offers, it'd be helpful if Twitchy didn't have CL football to wave about in the La Liga fire sale this summer. A lot of relatively big names look to be on the move.

Twitchy will find it hard to ask for loyalty after planning to leave himself. Still I think they'll get good money for their players many are overrated.

He's not a typical Fergie player but I think Man Utd will look to sign Modric. Scholes has to go at some point. Bale is more a Fergie player but Man Utd seem well stocked on good wingers. Chelsea or Man City might go in for him. Maybe one of the foreign clubs too.

Van der Vaart...his age will put clubs off. He hasn't got many years at the top level.

There's nobody else who'll be in demand from the Tottenham team.

But Redknapp loves big names and you can bet he'll be after the Real Madrid/Barcelona players that are on the move. If they sell Bale and Modric for (combined) £40m, they'll spend even more on replacements. I wish we did that.

I meant more in terms of the support from the board, obviously. If they sell a Berbatov for £30m, they make sure they put that back on the pitch. With a couple more Vermaelens and Sagnas, we'd be laughing.

Don't think he will be available but Kyle Walker could be a big player for ManU or Chelsea.
