there was definitely complacency aganst qpr. wenger has never, never been good at stamping it, out even in his best sides. dont think we'll see any more games like qpr with spurs this close. the problem is we're playing a side this week that can beat us even if we come correct

My quite lost point was that losing to QPR hasn't set alarm bells ringing for me.
I knew before the game that it was a distinct possibility that they could beat us.
No illusions here 🙂
That does not mean that I think we're now going to crumble and hit a losing streak.
If you all do, fair enough, right now it's not something that I see happening.

I'm with y va - if we put in a lethargic performance and drop points to Man City, I'll be worried. If we play well but drop points and scum beat Sunderland, I'll be worried. As it stands, I'm not too concerned because I think we'll win our home games - including Man City and won't end up dropping many points.

Indeed the entire season hung on the fitness /form of RvP and Szczesny and still does, so the kneejerk wasn't when we lost to QPR, it was when we had the false dawn in February/March.

Let's just see where the season takes us.

Wenger/RVP/The Defence/Whoever will take us through to the end of the season in good shape.

If you want a false dawn look at Chelsea, I fully expect them to get smashed by Barcelona and fail to win the FA cup.

This right now is our level, no one should be surprised by us going on a run then losing to a bottom feeder. A typical Arsenal season will see us beat City, draw against Chelsea and probably finish 3rd.

If we implode then we'll finish 4th.

No need to man the panic stations yet.

people are freaking out about the loss to QPR because you figure we'll drop some points against chelsea and man city, and prob draw a couple other matches. doesn't leave us much room for error to finish 3rd, so to not even come away with 1 point against a shit club battling relegation is disturbing. the lack of desire and sharpness was even more disturbing.

Exactly. I cannot pathos how anyone who's been through the last year as a fan cannot be concerned. Blind faith returns.

looking at Spurs' fixture list, I'm concerned. Easy games for them.
looking at Newcastle's momentum. I'm concerned. They're supposed to be long dead.
looking at Chelsea's newfound squad depth, I'm concerned. They're healthy for the first time.

if people remember how quickly we overhauled Spurs' 10 point leads, and then look at the fact that these teams are separated by 3 points, then they'll get some sense and start worrying. there's a lot of misplaced confidence in Arsenal and this year's team.

Well, we're a poor run of results from missing out on the champions league for the first time in ages.

I think every group of fans are fearing the worst right now because every team has their set of flaws. It just depends on who stumbles over the line because it's not going to be pretty.
