Is it really when you're playing up front for the best team in the country that doesn't have a poor player in the squad? Not sure what he'd be doing if you swapped him with Darren Bent at Villa or Louis Saha at Everton, or even Adebayor at Tottenham. Think each of those players would have probably banged in similar numbers given the same opportunities this season.
He's a proper talent, and will no doubt be a very good player, but I think he has a long way to go before it becomes nailed on that he'll be one of the best around.
