Any excuse...

I don't think you've got anything to worry about though.

Chelsea and Spurs, that sounds alot like a "who can we say is interested to really get under Arsenals skin" tactic.

Not saying that cazorla wouldn't be interested in a Chelsea switch but didn't giroud say he turned down Chelsea to join us? Whether it's true or not, we are still renowned for playing attractive football and cazorla would be a bigger fish than at Chelsea.

Update: Radio Activa: Chelsea are now seriously in danger of hijacking Santi Cazorla's move to Arsenal. #afc

Likely that both Chelsea and Spurs havn't put in bids, despite being interested, because Cazorla and his agent hae told them that he wants to go to Arsenal.

That's what I hope anyway.

Al Jazeera: Arsenal & Malaga have finally reached an agreement over the transfer of Santi Cazorla.

Arsenal must be delighted that Malaga publicised their bid in such fashion as they did.

You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout, I'm telling you why. Is Santi Cazorla coming to town? No.

Once Al Jazeera says it its confirmed

I can feel an announcement is imminent πŸ™‚
Whoever is throwing this Chelsea spanner in is just playing on our inherent Arsenal fears.

Graham Hunter now saying we need to improve our offer. 20million euros not enough. I'm offski, this is tedious.

Hunter was talking about 6 hours ago on a breakfast show!!!!

AS mentioned we'd increased our offer.

Will know by tomorrow anyway....

The Al Jazeera stuff looks like bullshit to me. Can't find anything on their website about it.

Anyhow the mata deal was agreed but the funds from the Cesc sale were not available to Arsenal. This does not depend on any sale.

2 completely different situations.

Malaga teammates are resigned to losing Cazorla, whose arrival was trumpeted as part of the club's exciting new era under Sheikh Abdullah.

"I personally am lost on the issue of Santi (Cazorla). If he must leave, then so be it. A decision could've already been made. And if someone does arrive, it’s the same thing. That's it," admitted a frustrated Joaquin.

Interestingly, Cazorla is scheduled to speak with the media later this week - but he could be on his way to London before then.

"Right now I cannot speak, but later I will," he told reporters after training on the weekend. "This is something that has nothing to do my relationship with the fans."

It's getting tougher by the day to endure the anticipation. I really hope we can get a closure on this one way or the other.

Yep, there's nothing on their website. I'm calling bullshit.

Liverpool or Tottenham wouldn't think twice about offering Β£20m for a player like Cazorla. Says a lot about our mismanagement of funds with contracts that we can't close deals for the sake of a few million. Every team wastes a certain amount of money on players that don't work out - I accept that, but only Arsenal has to use its pre-season tours as a shopping window to get rid of the plethora of cack they've got piled up.
