okay, a few news mills runnin wid dis, so fort I'd make omit a lil biddy thread
lovely player, would help us progress our tippy tappy to the next level. Would be a fine replacement for Nasri, but he's not at Cesc's level

Quality player. Get him in.
Meh, not really bothered. Always hyped, but never seems to deliver whenever I've seen him.
Maybe I'm just unlucky though, hear so much hype about the Villarreal players, particularly on here, and they never look any good when I watch them.
Isn't he a tip-tap merchant? Fed up with that, want pacey and direct players on the wing.
smart player but do we need 20 of the same player?
Good question, Kami. A link like Vidal was exciting. Everything else points to us going through the same suffering we've had in recent seasons
I used to watch every Villarreal match back when Matias Fernandez played for them. This guy was my least favourite player, I hate him, very frustrating no directness no end product and falls too easily. Maybe he has improved tons since, but if he hasn't he would surely be Denilson-esque for us.
Reminds me too much of Rosicky, beats a man then gets hustled off the ball/falls over. We've enough of that thanks
He's agreed to go to Malaga. Not sure we were ever interested anyway to be honest.
Never rated him anyway, so its okay.
Malaga meanwhile is really serious ain't they?
Oh well.

Time to pull the shutter down on this thread.
😆
We've "missed out" on another then. Oh noes! What a crock of crap the papers really are.
The fact they believe that Cazorla and Mata would replace Cesc says everything.
I'm glad we're not going for Cazorla in any case. I rated him a lot a few seasons ago but he hasn't developed much since he broke his foot. He's very unproductive and physically disadvantaged. Mata has emerged instead as a better version of Cazorla. He's younger too. I know which one I'd rather go for.
Mata is apparently "untransferable" though at the moment.

As mentioned in the link above, Valenica have put a 'Not for sale" board on Mata. Whether they are doing this to inflate his price or genuinely don't want to sell him is another question.
He's got a well-known release clause.
'The decision is clear and money will not change our position. Valencia will not sell to any club that wants to buy Mata.'
Sounds like a firm "not for sale" to me.
Klaus: "He's got a well-known release clause."
Does he really, or is that just transfer gossip?
He has a release clause, doesn't he?
*Pretty sure it's a requirement for all players in the Spanish league to have one.
