Yep me too, although I was pleasantly surprised with the decent standard of some supposedly no hoper teams. People were expecting teams to thrash those 2 u23 invitees but hasn't been the case.

Just checked Copa history and Mexico always did well. What if they won the tournament, what will happen to Confed cup lol.

Argentina vs Colombia is on now. Half time. 0-0.

Colombia has had more clear cut chances, including Moreno missing an open goal. Messi created a good chance for Lavezzi, but he couldn't get it past the Colombia goalie. Good game so far.

Game over. Colombia should have won, but were wasteful with the chances they got. They are a very decent outfit though. Strong, quick on the counter, and with some useful players in Falcao and Guarin. Yepes was also rocksolid in defence.

Seems like the Argentine team is wilting under the pressure of being the host nation. That's 2 games and 2 draws for them now. Might be they don't make it out the group stages. We'll see.

Cant see Costa Rica holding Argentina though

Caught up on the Argentina game and they look a piss-poor side. No formation, no tactics and somehow they have managed to stifle the individual talent of every single player on the team.

Apparently Joel Campbell, a 19 year old Costa Rican striker, tore Bolivia to pieces tonight and is a seriously hot prospect. Anyone watch the game?

Commentators said that he was 20 though.

Will keep an eye out for him in their next game. That left foot of his looks lethal. Couldn't find any highlights of the game on the internet though.

The new Paulo Wanchope

How did Vidal do last night? Couldn't get to watch it.

Looked decent in the 30mins I saw although I was falling asleep. Will probably watch it tomorrow and then I'll let you know.

Decent match, similar to his first one. But yesterday's match was more messy in the sense the midfield scrap had alot of dives and fouls so it was hard to judge.

Vidal was everywhere though as usual and took some shots, although his shooting technique is definitely not as good as his heading.

Brazil vs Paraguay starting. Looking forward to watching, should be interesting.

Paraguay has pulled back from behind to lead 2-1 now. 72nd min. Dani Alves at fault for the 2nd goal.

Neymar look so much like a street footballer. Completely losing his bearings at times, just show boating. Another Robinho in the making.

Shite, forgot to record that.

Ended up 2-2. Fred scored in the last min of the game.

Paraguay should blame themselves for not scoring a sitter to put themselves 3-1 up.

8 days later

This copa america has been so poor.

Just to sum it up; four of the worst penalties that you will ever see from Brazil.

Unbelievably crap penalties. Players trying to blame the spot but I don't buy it. Didn't look like there was any ball movement to me.

Was watching the WWC Final peno shootout just before that, thought it couldn't be any worse but it did.

8 penalties out of 15 from 2 shootout missed. Amazing night, huge contrast to yesterday's shootout.

The ground was tearing up badly but the penalties were still awful.

Penalties were a horror. As was Neymar.

Fair play to Peru, their manager has them playing some good stuff.

Wenger out! Peru manager = IN !!! 😉

He has got a name flobaba, Sergio Markarian. Abit of a nutter as well.

Suarez with two good finishes against Peru in Copa semis.
He's too good for this Liverpool team.

Same as Braga this season in the europa league then. Football is funny sometimes.

Just saw the penalty highlights for Paraguay match, amazing stuff. Never seen a more perfect set of 5 penalties hit with such power

Uruguay won the battle of the Guays. 3-0. Deserved winners, but Paraguay could have gotten back into the game when they hit the posts with a stunning effort from Haedo Valdez. Forlan scored twice, Suarez once. Brilliant game from Suarez once again, world class.

Forlan was even better. That second goal from him is as good as anything you'll see this year:

Absolute world class from buildup to finish. Cavani, Suarez and Forlan are terrifying together.

The thing is, Cavani's injury probably helped them to the final though. They were quite poor when they used 4-3-3, only after Cavani's injury that reverted to 4-4-2 and that helped them win games with the brilliant pair up top. That goal only showed me how intelligent Suarez is, if he attempted to control it then pass rather than that cushion header, Forlan would have been offside.

Would seriously love Alvaro Pereira here.
