That's interesting to think about. If the reports are true, we could have had 10m for Diaby, about 7m for Bendtner, and I'm sure we could squeeze 2m out of a club for Chamakh. That more or less would have covered the Mata fee.

if i had my way, i'd only want chamakh to leave this summer out of those three. the other two are sadly better than current alternatives.

I don't care / mind what Wenger says about players at other clubs. He's right to say things like "this one's dead". After all, he complains about other teams destabilizing his own team, so it would be highly hypocritical of him to then discuss Mata.

That said, it should not stop him from actually signing Mata or someone of equivalent quality

If not signing Mata means Nasri is staying it would probably be a decent idea to have picked him for todays game.

I agree, if Cesc and/or Nasri go, it's a must. Just never felt it was going to be Mata.

I say I think it has no chance of happening, but I am secretly hoping it does. Mind you we have so many wide players now.

I think Wenger will try for Hazard if we lose Fabregas and Nasri. It makes sense.

Well if rumours are true we've ben keeping tabs on him for a while and wenger has said before he likes him
