I can see him going to City why not? great money chance of winning something......

Well it'd be good if there's a few interested - might mean we get more if he does want out. would rather he went to city than united

Money is meaningless Dules, it's the last we'd see of it.

From his twitter

I just want tell you dont listen the newspaper and the rumours i will let you know if something happen

Pretty sure we´ll know anyway...

sign the contract or go Sam, stop jerking us around

A supporter called him a cunt tonight on Twitter, so Samir told him to say it to his face and then called him one back!

He will sign, I'm more confident than ever.

Then again, it's probably just another symptom of the middling status Wenger has foisted on the club - our best players including our captain see us as a pit stop to somwhere better.

we're on the same page.

as far as who's to blame, i put it squarely on nasri and his agent. 90k is more than enough for this over-entitled, underperforming frog. i wouldn't blink an eye if we sold his ass.

Basically it's no more or less than the difference between players that are winning trophies and players that aren't. The diva attitude's acceptable for winners.

agreed. the guy didnt do a damned thing to stop us during that pathetic end-of-season slide.

other than Jack, which player would make you guys truly sad if he left this summer?

On the other hand, I haven't seen much evidence of prima donna-ish outlook from Nasri. Think he just wants to get himself the best deal and play with the best team he can.

His demands re signings are no more or less than what we ourselves would like to see, and his pay negotiation's probably what I'd do as well.

I don't mind the guy, but he just hasn't earned it yet, baby.

You probably couldn't say that to his face.

It's okay if you don't rate him, and perhaps he is indeed being 'greedy', but he's holding out to get as much money as he can- as much as he thinks he's worth, and fair play to him. If we're not going to show enough ambition in getting a supporting cast that can help our better players actually win trophies as they approach the primes of their careers, then if they are going to choose to stay with us, how can we begrudge them wanting to earn as much as they can whilst they are at it?

He gambled at the beginning of the season by postponing talks, believing he would be able to turn in enough good performances that could give him the upper hand in negotiations come end of season, and it's paying off for him now.

We can and should only blame the club for this situation we find ourselves right now. Happening to us too frequently now to be anything but poor management on our part.

And I concur with the view that if the club doesn't agree with his valuation of himself, then let they should sell him off, but will we get a suitable replacement with similar, or better immediate impact? History doesn't indicate that we will.

These are my feelings on the topic as well

Thanks, Burns.
Why are we paying our executive team 15m quid a year as Ricky claims if they can't nail down our players to new contracts, increase cash available for salaries, or find ways to help Wenger mange the roster to create some salary space for better players like Nasri? Something is rotten in Ashburton

why not? like he'd care, anyway? 😆

Sorry which staff does that include exactly? I've seen that 15m bandied around a fair bit without further information. I assume that's a decent size group of top level managers, aside from Gazidis? That doesn't include Wenger I imagine?

Executive remuneration is normally justified in terms of the impact single individuals, as the decision-making bottleneck, can have on the whole of a large organisation. Presently our executives don't really seem to have the strategic freedom to earn their keep on those terms, so I can understand the concern about what they're paid.

After all, our sponsorship deals are locked in, and our footballing side is micro-managed by Wenger. That really limits their scope to inter-club partnerships, institutional relations, the day to day administration of our core business - which doesn't change - and negotiations on transfers and contracts, where they're presumably largely subordinate to Wenger.

Its always nice to see new additions to the squad but maybe one player will attract more players and keep players.

I've heard rumours of Karim Benzema at Real Madrid. Someone like that would help you hold on to your best players, get the crowd on their feet as well.

Not sure if these particular Theo quotes were posted earlier. I bet if we bring in someone bigger than Gervinho the likes of Nasri will shut up and sign. If that wouldn't be enough, then he can go join Giggs, Evra and Rooney

Rio has said that those quotes were made ages ago before this transfer malarkey.

Ricky doesn't claim, the AST claim.

That's some very tenuous conjecture. Nasri stalling a contract tells us fuck all about the performance of the club's executive team.

villa seem resigned to losing young to united - wonder if that would mean they'd drop any interest in nasri or if they'd want him to fill a central role or just have both?

Nasri aint going to United. It would be over Wenger's dead body if he did (don't get any ideas Bigs!).

He'll sign, I'm very confident of it.

We should sign Ashley Young. Damn.

I'd have Nasri over him every day of the week. Although it will be funny next season hearing him proclaimed by everyone as some sort of world class player, even though no one thought that when he was at Villa doing exactly the same thing. The Man United syndrome.

😆

What does it have to do with Nasri?

Ferguson has an awful lot of decent wide players if he gets Young - as usual. Would he play him on the left?

I think he is tired of Nani's flakiness.

Young could also see some football centrally at ManU.

Nani's a tosser but a good player. I suppose there's a chance Ferguson could be about to cash in.

I would take a Nasri for Nani swap deal in a heart beat.

i wouldnt

That's more like it. Would be an amazing signing.

French, unheard of, two foot tall.

Awesome.

😐

Silky skills and mazy dribbles are out of this world though...

Who watches Sochaux games? I literally don't watch Ligue 1 beyond the top teams, so cannot comment on the quality of this man. Rather, I'll lean on the experiences of those who've watched him.
What can you say of his speed, ability to take on players? How is he getting those 19 assists? Through balls, 1-2s, crosses, lay-offs? and should we be worried that he scored only 3 goals?
