I dont 'follow' anyone because I'm not on twitter, but I started to read what these blokes had to say this summer because there seemed to be a consensus that they were fairly reliable with club news. Bit like youngguns really, good info on their respective areas (youth, general club info) but they spout things on transfers more often than not it's not particularly reliable.

I generally don't take part in rumours threads as 99% 0f them don't happen, I'm also holding my fire on Wenger's "big summer" as there is a long way to go yet and anything could still happen.

True, but if they weren't quoting from twitter they would be quoting theSun, goal.com or tribalfootball. No shortage of idiots on the internet but that doesn't make the internet bad in itself.

At any rate, even if 'rumours' are true? So what? Turns out we we did bid/enquire for Reina last year but no one believed that rumour and it died out. Ultimately, until I see a player paraded in the the red and white it doesn't make much difference.

Exactly "bidding for" doesn't mean anything theres a multitude of things that can go wrong.
And clubs will sometimes bid for multiple say central defenders when in fact they intend to buy just one because they know a % will fall through.

In an ideal world, selling Nasri would be OK. For the money we could get for him, we could easily pick up a quality attacking player for equal or lesser monetary value. But we all know Wenger wouldn't adequately replace him.

Do you guys think we'll get a quality replacement for Fabregas (if he goes)?

If Fabregas leaves I expect a consolation signing at around the €20m mark. The club will definitely view his transfer fee as an "abnormal" value for which there are better purposes than immediately replacing him with a single, similarly valued player.

In the Arsenal transfer reality, any amount more than we've ever paid for a player (currently Arshavin) is a distorted and incorrect value brought about by the unregulated injection of cash into the game.
