Yep. Shakhtar has signed 2 replacements already for Fernandinho and Mikhitaryan who is rumoured to be going to Liverpool for 21m.

Fernandinho will be their long term replacement for Yaya Toure. Excellent player.

Doubt it. He's only a year younger than Touré.

City have made some excellent signings though. Both Fernandinho and Navas, disappointing as he was last season, could be brilliant players for them.

Sport Mediaset claim Man City's Carlos Tevez is close to sealing a move to Juventus after agreeing personal terms with the Turin giants.

He is one of the SSN Sources guys. Looks like they are going for Tevez instead then in Turin. Surely means Higgy and Jovetic are still on the market. But ofcourse the danger is losing them both to someone else then (City, Chelsea).

I just can't get excited about Higuain or Jovetic. I've decided I want Rooney up front for us, and those two look more than a little underwhelming by comparison.

Any one of those 3 will be good enough for me. I was initally hoping for Jovetic + 1 but its looking far too greedy and I am not optimistic.

Someone as huge a talent like Mitrovic will be here to become 3rd choice for the first team and rightly so. That will leave space for just one top player from any of those 3.

After snapping up Sanogo and now links to Mitrovic i will gladly accept only one attacking signing tbh. Would prefer Higgy, but Jovetic would be more dynamic.

How do you know Mitrovic is a huge talent? And didn't he say on Twitter that there was only contact for now between himself and Arsenal and that no deal had been struck?

If we've signed Sagnogo, and it seems we have, unless this Serbian kid's a world beater - shouldn't judge on YouTube, I know, but he looks more like the new Niklas Bendtner to me - then I don't see the point. He's also only a year older than Akpom, who's a top level talent himself. Why bother?

Maybe he is, although he looks average to me, but why not sign a proper player that's more developed instead? Akpom's unquestionably very talented, and we've already added Sanogo, who must have something about him. Why do we want another youngster that may or may not make it?

Because its not smart to put all the eggs in one basket? We're lucky if one from Sanogo, Mitrovic or Akpom turns out to make 100+ appearances for the club and actually contribute. They are cheap, thus worth the risk for us.

I don't know Ricky, but from what I have read about Mitrovic all round, he is deemed a huge talent. Just 18 and already scoring regularly in the Serbian league. Got into the Serbian league team of the year as well and young player of the year too. Definitely far more promising than Sanogo, who looks abit flaky to me personally.

Mitrovic is recognised as Lukaku's kind of talent generally from the Partizan forums and youtube comments.

Fernandinho is reported as 34m pounds. So Shakthar really get the money they want if true. Insane deal

Because most youngsters don't make it, so the more you have the more chance one eventually does?

And besides, just based on limited knowledge of where these players seem to be in their careers, Mitrovic sounds like he's likely miles ahead of Sanogo or Akpom

They need ample playing time and opportunities to develop though, Sanogo, The Serbian guy, and Akpom is a bit too many starlets in my opinion. They'll stagnate without proper playing time.

I could see Akpom going out on loan though.
