I really find it hard to believe- saw the story too and they said he signed it for 130 mill/week. If so, they really pulled the wool over his eyes. He could easily be making almost double that at Madrid without having to shoulder all of the burden and playing in Champions League. It would shock me if he stayed at Spurs- he's just coming into the best years of his career and if he's smart, he will capitalize on it with full market value.

Whoops! Meant 130k/week. Sorry had just woken up here in the states. There's no reason Bale should not be making 180+k/week playing next year. If he stays at 130k/week its just a bad career decision regardless of where he's playing.
