I think that if this move happens, then the only truly viable move for him in the immediate future is to Inter as a kind of replacement for Sneijder. The new coach favors wingers over No. 10s anyway, so that would make sense. If, however, Inter don't come for him, then he needs to face the prospect of playing with us for the next season with a bunch of Arsenal fans booing him. Players are people too. They don't relish the idea of being hated by fans of their own club.

Of course, this would be moot if, as Y Va suggests, Citeh will want both Lennon and Nasri

He hasn't been rejected because of his on the field actions though.

Lennon isn't a very good player at all.

I keep telling you that Nasri will sign Caligula; don't know if it will be in a week, in three months, in six months but it will happen. Believe.

Why are you so confident that Nasri will sign Captain?

I think Nasri will sign if
1) He just wants us to keep upping and meet his demands, or 2
2) He wants to see improvements and we bring in a central defender, or
3) He really want to be our starting 10 and we dump Fabregas

One or more of those things could lead to him signing

Because he wants to be here and I don't believe for one second that anybody is offering him the significant increase over our best offer that would make him want to leave.

Enrique off to Liverpool apparently.

Disgraceful that we aren't in for him, but Wenger seems hell-bent on throwing Gibbs off the deep end. Gibbs is basically the new Denilson.

I just want a coach who will come in and build a solid defensive foundation. Someone who will take recruitment of defenders and instruction of defensive plays seriously. Given the good work Wenger has done on the offensive side, I think that is all we need to become a contender

how so? unlike denilson, gibbs is actually a talented footballer. denilson has always been a very limited footballer, while gibbs actually has raw talent.

Only in the moments when he's not being erratic and unreliable.
He's been rejected with good reason by the last three clubs he's played for.

He's going to stop acting up before too long in my opinion - probably after a stint at a mid-table outfit. Attitude wise he could end up being similar to Anelka.

Not really. Gibbs is a defender that can't defend - another player given a Job he hasn't earned and doesn't deserve

you're seriously claiming denilson was/is as talented as gibbs?

Did i say that?

Completely different players, Gibbs may be a better footballer, but he's a mid-table standard midfielder at best and a diabolical defender. He's being handed his position on a plate, despite never earning it or looking remotely good enough to deserve it. Just like Denilson.

Spurs then 🙂

Attitude wise I don't think he'll ever find the balance that Anelka did in the later stages of his career.

Adebayor is as immature now at 27 as Anelka was at 19. Don't think he'll ever sort it TBH.

Maybe. I think most of these types acquire a newfound maturity when they realise the well of opportunity really is running dry. Ade's never going to be the sharpest tool in the shed of course.

Arsenal, Real Madrid and even new boys Manchester City.
How many people are going to be able to say that they played for 3 clubs of that caliber and were among top earners? Typically only a few trouble-makers like Robinho and Anelka (and possibly Tevez on his long journey home if he ends up at Inter). It's a real wasted opportunity. Even if I were as talented as Ade, I'd be humbled to be at those clubs and would treat the opportunity more seriously

Rumours today that Sneijder has signed for Manchester City. If true, i wonder what that does to their interest in Nasri.

Fek. He would improve Citeh more than he would improve United.

You think Fabregas isn't training? You think his plan is to show up in Barcelona weeks behind the others fitness wise? That makes no sense. He wants the transfer of course, but even he knows he has to be at his very best to even have a shot at forcing himself into their starting XI.

As for him refusing to play, that is just hearsay.
