I'd be delighted if Harry signed Oxlade-Chamberlain

What do you actually know about Oxlade?

I think Milan is doing well though, they are trying to build depth with some younger players rather than persist with the old guards.

Yeah, but the likes of Mexes, Taiwo, Witsel, Emmanuelson and so on, are not the way back to being a top class club. They are very average players, decent but not great.

Much better than the likes of Luca Antonini, Yepes and Abate they have been persisting with this season. Huge step up tbf.

Plus the attack and midfield solidarity they have now, Ibra Cassano Robinho Pato Boateng etc. Looks very strong, definitely stronger than last season's squad.

Abate is actually a very good footballer imo. Think he has nailed down the RB slot. Yepes was a decent squad player for them this season... a little slow and old but solid for the most part. Mexes is an improvement, granted. Taiwo might improve the left flank but i don't think there will be a huge rise in quality there. Good cheap signings but they will have to spend money on a top midfielder and maybe a winger. Their attack is great on paper but at times they flatter to deceive.

Harry is making the mistake of building a large team of average players vs a small team of excellent players. Must be limited by their strict wage policy.

Must be the fashion in Nth London these days... 😃

Henderson to Liverpool is looking likely according to the Guardian... apparently for £20m.

Is he actually any good? Can't say I ever paid him any attention.

Newcastle have had a 10M bid for Kevin Gameiro accepted.

Along with the signing of Cabaye, this would be a promising start to the transfer window for Newcastle.

2 excellent signing for the Magpies. Gameiro only 10m, quite surprising.

If they can hang on to Nolan and Barton, would be a contender for Europa league soon.

Pretty sure I heard Barton's contract expires this summer and they aren't offering him a new one.

Very impressive signings, if true. Cabaye and Gameiro are good players. They might even end up with Gervinho, too.

It's ridiculous. He has a decent spread of abilities; tall, athletic, combative, decent technical ability and passing ability, and not bad in the final third. He reminds me of Lampard, only without his awesome ball striking ability (take that away from Lampard and you aint left with much!).

Crazy fee, almost matches Carroll's transfer in it's absurdity. Liverpool reportedly want Jones and Wickham as well - really going for it with the young English talent. I honestly think the young English crop we have coming through are in no way inferior to the players they're chasing for tens of millions of pounds.

It's a ridiculous fee, but I reckon he's gonna be a good premier league midfielder for the next 10+ years, so you can see the logic in it.

Gameiro seems like a very good buy for Newcastle. Will be interesting to see how he handles the Premiership.

Hilarious. They wants Charlie Adam and Downing as well. Daglish trying to make a true English club.

Well it has worked so well for Villa and Spurs...

Dalglish seems to have all his eggs in the basket where Liverpool qualify for the Champions League.

He might as well throw that basket under a bus I think.

Apparently Liverpool are also close to agreeing a deal for Phil Jones.

Frustrating seeing other teams begin to flex their muscles in the transfer market, while we're desperately trying to hold what we have. Still plenty of time to go though.

Heard this myself too. Apparently was at Melwood yesterday. £36 million on two players in 48 hours. Big fees but certainly big ambitions!
