Spurs are breaking even when you or net spend negative after Bale sale and the others. They could spend more. Sky italia reported they bid 35m euro for mata last night which was rejected.

More width, less top quality. I'm not sure people realise how much Bale dragged them through the second half of last season. And he wasn't particularly dominant while doing it either. He just popped up and scored a ridiculous goal in the dying minutes to save them, game after game.

They have a balanced squad, all positions are covered with 2 decent players atleast. Question is does that get them over the 70 point mark again?

A bit gutted that Eriksen has chosen Spurs. He's great at FKs too so should replace Bale in that department. I think they have a squad good enough to make the top 4 and could with a little luck overtake Man City - who I think are the most vulnerable of the top 3.

On the one hand, they lose the heroics of Bale, but teams can weather the loss of their best player (refer Arsenal 2013). On the other hand, last season their biggest problems were a lack of alternatives to Bale and their injured central midfielders. They have ample depth in central midfield, and simultaneously improved quality there. Then in attack, they have enough options to compete in 4 cups. They will outlast us. Try will beat the West Broms of the world when we are losing because our squad is injured or tired.

11 million pounds
Wilshere is coming off injury, and Podolski and Oxlade are inured.
Would've been a useful punt for us.

Spurs is looking like Champions League level with their squad now. Make no mistake about that. Soldado, Lloris, Vertonghen, Lamela, Eriksen, Paulinho, Dembele etc are all top internationals.

There is so many players for reasonable prices that would be useful to us.

Obviously Wenger has his favorites. Mostly the youngsters he signed who weren't totally shit. He won't do anything to undermine these players while they still enjoy his favor. Keeps them as long as he possibly can, and doesn't bring in any proper competition for them either, sometimes to the detriment of the team.
