In light of the revelation of corruption at the highest levels of the organization, how do you feel about football associations boycotting fifa competitions and if they continue to be unaccountable and refuse to hold open and fair elections would you agree with even possibly starting a rival international football association.
Should fifa be boycotted?
Most national associations are just as corrupt and thus nothing changes.

Fixed.
The only real crime of FIFA's bigwigs has been to make it too obvious that they do jack shit all day and still bathe in gold. Most corporate barons have more discretion.
It's up to Uefa. They can survive independently of FIFA. Nobody else really can from the point of view of having prestigious competitions and money. UEFA should pull out and demand drastic changes, particularly with regard to transparency about operations and tournament awards. Then, something needs to be done to bring the mystique back to non-tournament international football.
Heh heh I thought I was ultra cynical but you guys make me look like a Wenger team.
I've always thought that international football had too much power especially these days, I'd love to see it taken down a peg or two.
You'd probably have to organise a mass boycott of the sponsors of the World Cup as well as the World Cup itself to force any kind of change.
Most people don't really care enough that this is going on to be that organised or active.
Plus, as is fairly clear from what's been posted on here, most people just accept that this is how it is now and how it will be in the future.
I think maybe I'll add the sponsors to my own personal boycott list.
Coca Cola's been on it for years now anyway.
Wenger in!
Yeah me too mainly because it's vile stuff that rots your teeth, hasn't been the same since they took the coke out of it.

for those reasons as well.
It's a horrible organisation, the very nature of it means the only way you can have any influence in FIFA is if you're a dirty and corrupt.
But ultimately, who cares?
The only thing they get to really influence that remotely matters is where the World Cup goes.
What about all those meaningless friendlies during the busy season? They're pretty annoying.
I see President garter belt intends to bring in Kissinger to destroy his enemies, presumably by carpet bombing from high altitude with B-52's.

He's bringing in his friend to clean up FIFA? That will be a very objective audit
It'd take a septuagenarian to believe that an octogenarian is the right man for the job.
Fucking gerontocracies.
"I wonder if Blatter has ever kicked a football in his life, and yet we have been under the control of such people who have refused to give up power in FIFA."Why don't they all just relinquish their positions, take the money they have made and leave the running of the sport in the more capable hands of former football players?"
I love Maradona, and I agree that those who hold the power at FIFA should be run out of it, but I did laugh a little when I read that last part of his attack on FIFA.

Actually the more I read about FIFA the more staggered I am about just how thoroughly rotten the whole organization seems to be.
And it's registered charity
Cant lie, the world of football would be a more interesting place if they put Diego in charge.
It would!
I even forgive the tubby little bastard for his drug fuelled defeat of Australia 1-0 to qualify for the 94 world cup.

And now Placido Domingo is joining Henry Kissinger on the "Council of Wisdom" of FIFA. Couldn't make this shit up.
wtf? Blatter is having a laugh.
