It's shocking to think that Chelsea have only won one league title and a few assorted cups in the last 5 seasons when you consider the players they've had, the financial investments they've made, the wages they pay and the coches/managers they've brought in.

I think Abramovich has to carry the can for that.

I try to erase the memories of every season that we don't win. 😆

Didn't mean it literally but in my head I've seen the league as a two, occasionally three-horse race. But United have won 4 out the 5 titles over the past seasons and that's quite something.

Was never looking good for us next season. Matters very little what the other teams do, as long as we continue to allow Wenger to turn Ashburton into an alchemy laboratory.

I know we have to concentrate on our own affairs and strengthen but it wouldn't upset me if our rivals were to be weakened.

Are people convinced that Villas-Boas will be better than Ancelotti?
I suppose a lot will now depend on what kind of influence he will have in shaping the team in terms of who goes and who stays during the summer.

Yep, thats the news going on. Why does Hiddink want to be a director of football instead of an international coach is beyond me. Guess money is really a big factor. Yva, its on skysports and soccernet, guess its on everywhere as well.

Villas Boas would be a better appointment than Hiddink definitely.

As director of football does Hiddink have the final say on what players they buy?

Frank Arnesen was a de facto director of football while he was there but I think his role was more in advising Abramovich and establishing youth networks. There has been mention of Rowley moving there, so perhaps Hiddink's role will be more of a continental approach where he has a say in not only player recruitment but the tactical direction of the club. I predict trouble ahead if that is the case.

Quite a challenge for Villas-Boas then, particularly if it transpires that he can't find common ground with Hiddink.
