Not sure I recall the 3 innings victories last time to be particularly rocky, but yes that's generally true. The magnitude of this defeat should not have been possible at lunch yesterday. It wasn't far off being an impossible position to lose from. Why Carberry seemed to be batting out a draw in the 3rd innings on the 3rd day when in position to set up a win only he knows. Supposed to have made his name as an aggressive short form batsman.

Fucks sake. Found an even lower low. Won the toss, bowled them out on day 1 and probably lose by an innings inside 3 days. Was out for a couple of hours so got back an hour ago and checked the score. Channel was quickly changed again, not putting myself through any more of this. Did they just all throw their wickets away or was it really good bowling? Don't know where the fuck we go from here. New captain, new coach, entire new team built around Stokes and start again? This feels like the late 90s, early 00s.

It really has been a disgrace. The commentators are trying their hardest to talk up the series at the moment, but this has been the most one sided test series I can remember. Australia deserve full credit but England have been truly woeful. The worst batting performance I have ever seen. Stokes has been the only player to show any balls. The rest don't even seem able to draw on their pride to motivate them to a decent innings. Big, big questions need to be asked after the series.

Lowest moment in the history of English cricket? Pretty close. Disgraceful and only Stokes really deserves to play for England again.

This will probably sound over the top, and i dont know much about how cricketers contracts work, but all of the english batsmen should donate a big part of their wages because they dont deserve to be paid full whack for their complete lack of performance and effort
