Wonder if they will mention his name today or will it still be "that medium pacer?". Didn't hear many boos when he held the ball up after the 5th wicket either. 😆 Hope they keep it up if this is the effect. 50 wickets for the year now.
Never seen him look so fired up, especially after the first couple of wickets. Anderson also bowled very well without much reward and Tremlett was better than I'd expected. Didn't look that threatening in terms of taking wickets but was very tidy and put the ball in the right places making it very difficult to get him away. Don't think he bowled a bad ball all day although he does seem to have lost a yard of pace from the last time he was in the side.
The Johnson and Haddin partnership was annoying but they showed how a good a batting wicket it was and Johnson in particular did a good job of taking it to Swann. Looking forward to day 2. Hopefully get the last couple of wickets early for under 300. Big day for Carberry.
Good to get through the first day without a DRS issue too. I guess even Watson couldn't review his dismissal this time!
