To each their own - all I would say is that fishing can be a hobby, or you can hike in an hour plus each way, spend the day in freezing water, and turn around to hike out 2 hours....

That was a tough day. Great day for Australia. Good toss to win on a good dry batting wicket and they desperately needed a big innings like that from the main man. We didn't bowl too badly but they finally looked like the knew how to bat. There seemed to be a lot of confidence and determination in the batsmen. There was never any point in the day you thought Clarke might get out. Similarly for Rogers, he looked like he was going to bat all day from the start and after about 5 overs I said to myself "he's going to score a big hundred today." The Smith LBW was annoying as it looked plum live but as I always say these things tend to even out. Khawaja wasn't out for instance.

Thought Australia rode their luck a lot personally, but showed some determination and a bit of skill to get through it.
And it's annoying that people are making everything about technology and DRS, when all the mistakes today were on field mistakes. Khawaja was given out on the field, and both Smith plumb LBW's were given not out on the field. Take technology away and all 3 of those decisions remain and all three are still wrong.
😆 David Warner just can't keep himself out of the limelight can he? Surely there should be a massive backlash against him about not walking and the "spirit of the game" and all that which we had after Broad now shouldn't there? That was no less of an edge and may have screwed them when they need a future review. Smith must feel absolutely sick. What a stupid shot when a first test hundred was there for the taking.
We had to get Smith out 4 times and he still couldn't get a hundred.
Another tough day but not too concerned just yet. We can't win now unless something ridiculous happens like bowling them out for nothing in a session after getting a big first innings total but we only need a draw to retain the Ashes. Bat all day today and through to the afternoon tomorrow and it should be safe. Need probably Cook and 2 others to bat for a long time. Lyon looked threatening pretty much every ball, he should never have been dropped for Agar in the first place. The Bresnan dismissal was so far away his bat how could he have thought he hit it? Can only assume Cook told him it wasn't worth the risk of losing a review for the night watchman when they may need them for one of the important batsmen.
Lyon being interviewed now. Has there ever been an Australian cricketer who has not started every answer with "yeah no?" Can only think of Michael Clarke who starts everything with "oh look." 😆
Shame Pietersen got out and Bell looked odds on for a 4th consecutive ton until a great ball from Harris. It's looking a bit more worrying now but given Monday is forecast to be a washout, as long as we can avoid the follow on we should be OK for the draw.

Tough decision now for Clarke. I'm sure he would have batted for another 30-40 minutes then declared to have 20 minutes bowling today. With bad light stopping play he'll now have to decide whether to declare overnight or bat a bit longer. At 331 it's reachable in a day so he may want another 50 or so, but then that will take away time to bowl. And with a getable target England might be more likely to go for it and risk losing wickets. If he takes it up to 400 then we'll just try and block out the day for a draw, which we've been fairly successful at doing in recent times. I think he's the kind of captain who will take the attacking move and declare overnight. If it was Cook he'd likely bat for an hour or so tomorrow morning.
He'll declare Invis, 100%. Will be lucky to get more than 60 overs tomorrow given the forecast.
Chasing 331 in fourth innings is a very tough ask. A score more than this has been chased only six times before in Test Match history. Clarke will resign. Anything else would be incredibly stupid.
