The main argument is that he has never actually officially tested positive for any drugs. The powers that be have "confirmed" his guilt because of the testimony of a teammate who is going to testify (or has testified) against him. If he had tested positive for drugs, however, no one would ever accept a testimony from a friend against that claiming that he never took the drugs. It would be ludicrous.
For what it's worth, I believe he is guilty. Apparantly he has tested positive for drugs and at one time a positive test result was covered up according to David Walsh, the Chief Sports Writer of the Sunday Times.
Secondly, if Lance really wasn't guilty, why did he give up just like that? Surely he'd fight until the end.
