I'd say the same is true for Nadal. His technique isn't cutrate so he has to run like a maniac to win everything back. He was so finished against Müller after 4 hours of tennis that even if he'd won that match he would have lost against anyone who was still left in the tournament.

So was it the foot problem that did Cilic in or did he just having a breakdown? Guy was in tears in the second set, hard to watch. Weird way to win Wimbledon as everyone basically got injured and Federer was the only one left standing, almost literally.

Thought it was going to be a much better game. Cilic started out returning Federer's serves pretty easily, and Fed was making unforced errors. Almost broke him in the 1st service, crashed hard from there though.

Once Federer figured out the body serve, Cilic didn't have much else to try.

The breakdown seemed to be emotional more than anything. I think the tears came afer he smashed in three aces and still lost the game to Federer. That had to be demoralising.

I wouldn't say it's a wild thought to think that there were more cheats than just Gatlin in that 100m final.

Certainly there are medal winners from this WC that will in the future become mired in drug scandals.

Agree with Rex. I have a big problem with confirmed drugs cheats being allowed to compete. Don't know the details about Gatlin. Was he another of the "noone told me it was banned" crowd?

The first time it was down to a medication he's been taking since he was a kid. The second time he didn't knowingly take it. It's probably true, 8 of the athletes of his trainer had positive tests from what I remember.

I have a hard time believing any of them - from Bolt down - don't at the very least take something to help them train harder that isn't legal. Basically I think every single athlete sits somewhere along a sliding scale from 100% clean to full blown doping with everything you can get.

Yep, some are just better informed and catered for by people who are a step ahead of the testers and substances on the banned list.
