there is no accurate way to compare teams from different eras. the 3 point line wasnt adopted until '79-80, so how can you compare a player like westbrook to oscar? likewise, how can you compare the 80s laker teams to the 60s celtics teams? you cant. different eras, different rules.
the game has evolved drastically in other areas, including the way the game is refereed and even just how big and physical players are. a tank like lebron would have bullied smaller players in the 60s and 70s. likewise, players like john havlicek couldn't fling themselves into defenders and have them call 3 point fouls every time down the court. its completely different games.
this warriors team is unreal. im a sixers fan, it will be a few years before i need to downplay other teams and pump up my own. but its pretty obvious this warriors team is one of the best ever constructed. if they dont win this finals, they will be considered underachievers. in fact, if they keep the core together (which they most certainly will) and dont win 2 or 3 more in the next 5 years, they'll probably be considered underachievers. they are what they are. likewise, lebron is obviously one of the best to ever play the game, even if he doesnt win another ring. hes an otherworldly talent.
