love and irving are finals virgins, i can see them freezing up at key moments. cavs may be fresher but the dubs have a proven system and major belief on the back of their wcf win.

Awesome stuff from Andy Murray to make the Frencj Open final. He beat Djokovic on clay 2 weeks ago so hopefully he can beat him in a slam final this time. Great achievement to have made the final at all four slams too. Sampras, Borg, McEnroe, Connors and Becker didn't manage that.

Ali is an interesting case where he's got a real claim on being the greatest sportsman of all time, without being the best ever in his own sport.

Proof

Muhammad Ali was one of the most charismatic public figures and one of the most ridiculously talented boxers that ever laced up the gloves. Ali was as polarizing a superstar as the sports world has ever produced. In his prime he was stripped of his heavyweight title and robbed of three years of his career because during the Civil Rights Movement he refused to fight in the Vietnam war. He was a real one of a kind.

First finals game was interesting. Played out pretty much as I thought it would, regarding the Warriors gradually wearing them down, but still in a surprising way. Warriors winning comfortably with Thompson and Curry having pretty anonymous games, Warriors losing out on offensive rebounds, and Warriors hardly going to the free throw line - that has GOT to be demoralizing for the Cavs.

game 1 of the nba finals drew huge ratings. glad we have to wait a week for game 2. the spacing of the finals is really fucking annoying
