Oh, I think there can't even be a serious debate about whether Curry is the best shooter basketball has ever seen. This dude shoots regular jump shots from anywhere inside the opponent's back court ffs, and shoots at around 40 percent from around the edge of the center circle in attack! I don't think anyone has seen someone with that range before. He has a sick handle as well and, which may fly a bit under the radar, is percentage wise the best finisher in the paint this season for the whole league. Curry already has the record for most threes made in a season, and he is going to absolutely crush his own record this season.

watched the whole okc-gsw game. thought okc played them well apart from some odd uses of time-outs and the odd westbrook boneheaded moments. you can call them chokers but gsw wouldn't have had a sniff without curry's ridiculous shooting keeping the pressure on depiste their team getting outplayed. the whole gsw team aside from curry didn't even make a 3 until the 4th quarter. okc played as well as they could and still came up short thanks to curry, who is one of the most incredible players i've seen. he's going to make mastering the 28+ footer a legit tactic; probably going to have an entire generation of college kids practicing these long rangers day in day out

the scary thing is, okc played well and couldnt close it out. you know they aren't excited for a 7 game series against golden state in the playoffs. and the hot rumor is golden state is going to try and sign durant this summer. lol

Slim to none, IMO. Honestly, I think Toronto may be the team from the east in the finals.

I just can't see any team beating GSW over 7 games; they will certainly have home court advantage throughout the playoffs, and they still haven't lost a game at home this season. They are 24-0 currently. In fact, their home record over last season and this season is ridiculous; last season through the playoffs they were 48-4, they are this season at 24-0, to combine for an unbelievable 72-4.

As for Curry and changing the 3-point line - it doesn't really matter since he shoots it at over 40+ percent from pretty much anywhere inside the offensive half. Which is utterly stoopid. 🙂

I'd absolutely love to see this GSW team play Jordan's 95-96 Bulls team. That would be some match up!

Curry didn't play a couple of nights ago v Atlanta, which is a good team, Klay Thompson had a pretty shit night shooting the ball, and the Warriors still found a way to win. Playing OKC, Curry had a poor night shooting the ball, by his own ridiculous standards, he still finished with 33 points, and the Warriors were in the end pretty comfortable winners by 15.

I have to say, as great a players as Westbrook and Durant are, they don't do very well closing out when it really matters. In a year Kevin Durant becomes a free agent though; it will be very interesting to see what will happen there. If he stays at OKC, they will continue to be contenders, but if he moves I reckon whichever team he joins will be favorites to win it.

Going up the weight divisions was always going to be tough. He's still a great fighter and still featherweight champ so its not the end of the world.

My Boston Celtics are shaping up nicely. The path to a championship is getting clearer by the day. I wish we had someone like Danny Ainge at Arsenal.

Isiah Thomas is great to watch! Not sure I see this path to a championship though; I think there are a few other teams that look to be better at any point during the next five years.
The team that excites me the most from that perspective is the Minnesota Timberwolves - if they get to keep their players. May sound strange because of their horrible record, but there are a few reasons. Main reason is their young players. Both Anthony Wiggins and Karl Anthony Towns are dead cert future all stars, and I can see Zach Levine joining them too once his game develops. Going to stick my neck out here and say that KAT is a future league MVP too. Aside from those three, they also have role players who seem to get better and better; Ricky Rubio is a class point guard, but he can't shoot for shit, yet. Gorgui Deng has improved all season too, and there are a few more players as well. Secondly, due to their poor season they look likely to get yet another good pick in the next draft. I expect them to have a much better season next year, and the year after that I think they can be a real player in the league with an astute trade or two to further boost them.

Proof

I fully agree. Minnesota's future looks bright. Their young core looks great and they are also surrounded by veterans like Garnett, Prince and Miller who are tremendously important to have in such a promising team. Karl-Anthony Towns is already a big-time player in the NBA. What he's going to be in the future is downright scary, but right now, he's already terrific. Minnesota made a smart decision by drafting him ahead of Okafor.

He just knows how much money he'd get for fighting Mayweather. 😆

The thing about that is that no one can change between the 2 sports. You are going to get battered either way.

Yeah, Towns is great. In his last 20 games or so he is averaging about 20 and 10. That's all star level right there, and he achieved that after just half a season!

Kobe played a little more than half the game. He has a shoulder problem.
That was a terrible game from GSW. I suspect they to a large degree figured they could just show up to win the game, which more often than not these days is true, because the Lakers are truly terrible. A million turnovers, and no one shot the ball well despite plenty of wide open looks. Credit to the Lakers though, because they played as well as I have ever seen them play this season. Even Swaggy P was good. 🙂
