Knew what was coming after Ali was out. The first session made it one of those "oh, oohhh wait hang on a minute we might....oh guess not" days. A year ago we had just won a test series in India and then won an Ashes series 3-0. Where the fuck do we go from here?

I was at the athletics last night, first time I've been to anything like that. Seen Gemili win silver, everyone was wishing him on to a gold but it was a good silver in the end he was well beaten to the gold. Atmosphere was fantastic. The English, Welsh and NI a athletes got a great reception, but best part of the night was one of the Scottish girls winning gold in the ladies para 100m. It was amazing standing cheering for her and applauding on her lap of honour and during the medal ceremony.

A couple of guys in the decathlon stick out too, they really got the crown onside with their clapping and waving during the high jump. By the time it came to their 400m the were getting roared roared the track.

Absolutely fantastic night, I wish I had managed to get more tickets.

What a great final round to the USPGA. Don't think I've seen a major before with so many players who could still win so late in the tournament. Every time Mickelson and Fowler made putts, McIlroy would then place his shot almost right by the hole. The level of play was great to watch. Guess he can say he made the right choice calling off his wedding now!

Great comeback in the series to demolish them. We really needed that. Few batsmen back into form after Australia and some new blood that's taken to test cricket pretty quickly.
