CPM Havertz was MOTM, matchwinning performance from him. He was absolutely everywhere and central to the two goals.

Havertz was excellent, so much more than just goals.. Martin was brilliant too.. Much of our season will depend on how many mintues we can get of those 2 + Saka... would have loved to add at least one more of that quality in the summer but wasn't to be (and easier said than done tbf..).. need to be really smart with rotating these guys over the season.

JazzG Raya should do better

Raya was going the other way, the shot went through legs and he had to readjust in a split second. It's difficult to get distance on a dive when your body is moving the other way and the shot is already incoming.

Maybe this is where his height counts against him, but it was a tough one to stop.

Yes my fear is that he will be overplayed too....people talking about eze on the wing but the facts prove that arteta doesn't really trust him there....9th month of the year and he must have about 200-300 minutes in that position

Saka also....if you have a competent back-up as you say you have get him on...saka was done past 60-70....we are on that route of overplaying him considering he was knackered already in the summer...rice i can understand played the 90 as bruno had a knock....but this is just not learning from mistakes....knowing arteta he'll start him midweek and then weekend again and probably give him some minutes against ipswich

played 3, scored 2 and assisted one so far....doesn't seem like a waste of money at the moment

he's on route to another 10+ goal and 10+ assist this season again

For any other player i'd have said the goal was a fluke but he has a tendency of scoring goals with low xG chances

If we'd popped up and signed Rogers for that (and by the way, why on earth would any club have done so?) in May, six weeks before City announced they were spraying cash on Anderson, people would've said it was an abominable deal. He's been well overvalued by Chelsea. Fees are high but that sum should be getting you a forward who's an elite technician with Rice's intelligence, not a player who's merely hard-working, durable, acceptably competent, and lucky in front of goal.

The negative nancies were all enjoying the day when Rogers scored early but Chelsea lost the match. Our new signing Tzolis, who cost the difference between Rogers' value and the fee Chelsea paid for Rogers, was just as influential as the one that supposedly got away, with a better personality to go with it.

I'm not gonna bet Tzolis has a better season but no one's gonna be mooning over Rogers next May.

Don’t think I’d want any Chelsea player. Basically we only really need a left winger and a world class striker. Very few players out there that fit the bill

Doesn't show in the gif but loved Ode passes it first time, he has a habit sometimes of taking a touch when it is not needed.
