To be fair, within John Terry's own set of criteria Konsa probably is better than Saliba. By that I mean that Konsa is more English than Saliba.

I had Umtiti nightmares about Saliba.

It is concerning that we brought in a new CB to cover him. That indicates he will miss most of this season.

daredevil its hard to know. There is the ongoing issues with White and Timber too. Was only a couple of months ago they were both injured and we needed Mosquera to play RB. Then you've also got Cala. So now you are talking about having Saliba will an issue that isn't getting surgery so will need management and might recur. You've the 3 regularly injured full backs. That leaves Hincapie, Gabby and Mosquera. Numbers wise it makes sense to get another player into the backline.

Yeah, won't let the buzz off this game affect my judgement of him. He looks okay but also.. well, quite Villa-ish. We'll see. Suspect him alongside Salibi will be a stronger pairing, but not better than Gabriel and Saliba, so it'll be interesting to see how things pan out.
