Recalling training with our number 7, Ezri said: “I think it was a couple of years ago with England, we did some one-on-one sessions, me against him, and yeah, I gave him a good test.
“I take a lot of pride in defending, I love defending so to hear that praise from him is nice.”
He said: “I like to build up from the back and I like to have a lot of the ball. It's Mikel's style and from what I've seen from games, it's the same way the defenders here play. So hopefully I can add a little bit more.
“It's good being versatile. I can do both jobs, right-back and centre-back, but for me ultimately, wherever the manager wants to put me is, I’ll always do a job and do my best.”
He will have no problems fitting in, don't even think he needs to move house, he's a Londoner and its an easier commute to work for him. No risk with this, a good signing.
